ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on all political parties, stakeholders and civil society on Wednesday to join the ‘Charter of Stability of Pakistan’, emphasizing the importance of being out of political rifles, personal agendas and empty statements.
Addressing the Central Independence Day and memory of the victory of Mark-Haq in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that the proposed charter was not just an economic rehabilitation plan but a larger national interest-based framework.
He emphasized that the world should see that despite the differences, Pakistani is united for the purpose of the country.
The main event that identified Pakistan’s Independence Day and Marca-Haq was held at Jinnah Sports Stadium, in which President Asif Ali Zardari was the guest of honor.
Prime Minister Shahbaz, heads of the three armed forces, and national and foreign honorees were also involved with a large number of citizens.
During his speech, the Prime Minister said that in just four days, the arrogance of India was scattered, and its coming generations will remember the defeat.
He presented Pakistan’s nuclear capability as a strategic need in response to India’s nuclear power.
The Prime Minister thanked the friendly countries including China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, and Iran for open support for Pakistan’s position.
The Prime Minister also thanked US President Donald Trump for his efforts towards the ceasefire, in which UN resolutions hope to resolve the Kashmir conflict.
The Prime Minister reiterated that Pakistan has made unprecedented sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, which lost 90,000 lives and has more than $ 150 billion in economic losses.
He warned that no new unrest would be tolerated. While maintaining the right to protest, he said that there is no right to vandalize, abuse, or rebellion against the state, whose government will never allow root to work.
Prime Minister Shahbaz paid tribute to the leaders and workers of the Pakistan Movement, and called this struggle not only a war of freedom but also called the victory of the ideology of the two nation.
He highlighted the recent economic reforms, noting that inflation has dropped from 34 % to 5 % and interest rate from 21 % to 11 %.
The Prime Minister thanked the judiciary for helping to recover more than Rs 100 billion from the national exchequer and acknowledged the cooperation of Field Marshal Asim Munir in working with the civilian government.
The Prime Minister confirmed Pakistan’s commitment to stand with the people of Palestine and Kashmir unless their rights were protected.
He announced the establishment of the Army Rocket Force Command, calling it an important milestone in the development of the country’s military response.

Earlier, the National Assembly unanimously approved a resolution in which a tribute was paid to the martyrs of the nation and confirmed Pakistan’s commitment to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty and independence at all costs.
Throughout the country, events are on full swing, which is adorned with the green and white colors of the national flag along the roads, palaces and cities.
In Punjab, rallies and events were held in Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Jhang, Narowal and other cities.
Sindh witnessed festivals in Score, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Thatta, and Badin, while in Balochistan, rallies were held in Nasir Abad, Jaffarabad, Sibi, Bolan, Sohbatpur, Lahiri, Gordar and other cities.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a special celebration of Independence Day was held for the minority community at the Mardan Commissioner’s office, while in Kirk, the preparations reached its peak.
In Azad Kashmir, colorful events were held at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir of Muzaffarabad, and ‘Martyrs’ Honor March was held in Mirpur.
At the Shakarparin Parade Ground, military aircraft, tanks, artillery, radars, and other weapons used in the war are at a public exhibition.
