ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned next week to accelerate monsoon activity with more rains, wind and thunderstorms in several parts of the country.
According to the PMD, monsoon streams coming from the Arabian Sea are already entering the upper areas, while according to the PMD, the Bay of Bengal is likely to be strengthened from August 17.
The Met Office also said that a Westerly wave that affects the northern parts is expected to be intensified on the same day.
According to its forecast, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Gilgit -Baltistan are likely to start with rain/thunderstorms with heavy decline scattered from August 14 to 17.
According to data from the National Disaster Management Authority, the latest predictions have surfaced when the monsoon -related deaths fell in 312 in Pakistan (more than half of them Punjab, 164), and 740 were also injured.
Flash Flooding Tips
The PMD has warned of possible floods in local rivers and nobles in parts of KP, Punjab, Islamabad, Murri, Galiat and AJK from August 15 to 21, and from August 18 to 21 to August 21 to August 21, in DG Khan and East Balochistan’s hill Toront.
