According to sources, Pakistan Tehreek -e -Insaf (PTI) founder Amran Khan has said that if Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandpur is unable to resolve law and order in the province, he should be relieved.
“If Ali Amin Gandpur cannot restore peace, he should be retired.”
He further remarked that if Gandpur is unable to resolve governance issues, someone else should be given the opportunity.
Since the return of Taliban rulers in Afghanistan in 2021, Pakistan has witnessed the increase in terrorist activities, especially its Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan provinces.
According to a police report obtained by Geo News, at least 476 terrorist incidents were reported in PP during the first seven months of 2025.
The province’s widespread violence has killed 121 civilians and injured 301 others. In the duty line, 66 policemen were martyred and 90 injured.
The report also said that 10 Levies personnel were martyred and 8 were injured, while Frontier Corps (FC) lost 48 personnel with 109 injured. Overall, 55 members of other security forces were martyred and 112 were injured during the same period.
