German Foreign Minister Johann Woodle on Thursday emphasized that recognizing the Palestinian state should negotiate negotiations to seek resolution of two states, which increases tensions on the “dangers of affiliation” of some Israeli ministers.
Woodol is moving to Israel and Palestinian territories for a mission seeking facts in response to the growing concerns about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
His comments represent Germany’s strongest warning for Israel to this day, as Western countries, including Britain, Canada and France, indicate their intention to support the Palestinian state in the next UN General Assembly.
However, critics say Germany’s cautious style of Holocaust is influenced by Israel’s current prejudice in influential media circles, which can restrict the effect of the West in implementing pressure on Israel.
In his statement, Vidfol reiterated Germany’s stance that a sustainable resolution for the Gaza war could be achieved through a resolution of two states of negotiations only-a Palestinian state is involved in peace with Israel.
“In light of the dangers of openly committed by parts of the Israeli government, there are many countries in Europe,” said Woodol.
“This process should start now. If unilateral steps are taken, Germany will also be forced to respond.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition includes two right -wing parties, who demand the straightforward victory of Gaza and the re -establishment of ghettos there. Two senior government ministers also expressed their support for connecting the Israeli -occupied West Bank on Thursday.
In Gaza, the death toll between Israel and Hamas about two years of war has exceeded 60,000 this week. Gaza health officials say the growing number of ordinary citizens is dying of hunger and malnutrition, with pictures of hungry children being shocked to the world and accelerating Israel’s criticism over their prevention of aid in Enclave.
Germany, along with the United States, has long been one of Israel’s hardened allies and the largest suppliers of weapons.
German officials say their point of view of Israel is ruled by a special responsibility, which is born of the Nazi Holocaust inheritance. They say they can get more through diplomatic back channels rather than public statements.
Israeli supporters German media
Germany’s largest media group, Excel Springer, who owns its most sold daily blood, as well as other publications such as Welt and Politico, includes a special commitment to Israeli supporters.
In this clause, Excel Springer and its employees have been committed to the Israeli institutional position.
Blood published a story on Thursday, for example, condemning the “hunger campaign” against Israel and transferred to the Western countries to increase pressure on the country, which he said that the war in Gaza has long been encouraged to quit the body fire. This paper praised Germany not to do so.
On Thursday, another blood story condemned the “campaign to destroy Israel morally”.
Chancellor Frederick Mirza has long been supportive of Israel. In February, he said he would find a way to visit Germany without arresting Netanyahu under an international criminal court warrant.
But in recent weeks, this tone has changed in Berlin, with a change in public opinion, a survey released June 4 shows that 63 % of Germans say Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has gone far.
Mirz said Monday that steps to suspend the European Union agreement with Israel are now on the table to increase pressure on the country on Gaza’s “destructive” situation.
The European Union’s executive body on Monday recommended Israel to control access to its flagship research funding program, but the proposal is not yet available, especially with Heavyweight Germany, is still uncertain.
