British Prime Minister Kerr Starr on Tuesday announced that the United Kingdom would formally recognize Palestine in September unless Israel takes various “important steps” in Gaza, including agreeing with a ceasefire.
Possibly a historic move, which is a part of the “lasting peace” project that the star is moving forward, after that the British leader withdrew his cabinet from Rosis for immediate discussion on the worst situation in the area.
His office states that the star told its ministers that London would formally recognize the Palestinian state in September if the Israeli government did not demand.
It further states that they include eliminating “the horrific situation in Gaza”, reaching the ceasefire, “making it clear that there will be no affiliation in the West Bank”, and “committing” for a long -term peace process, which offers solutions to two states.
“I have always said that we will recognize the Palestinian state as a contribution to the appropriate peace process in a moment of maximum impact to resolve the two states.”
“With this solution now under danger, it’s a moment to work.”
Hamas is demanding
French President Emmanuel Macron said last week that his country would formally recognize the Palestinian state during the UN General Assembly meeting in September.
“The UK will recognize the Palestinian state through the UN General Assembly in September unless the Israeli government takes important steps to end the horrific situation in Gaza,” the star said.
The two countries will be the first G7 countries to do so, in which Macron’s announcement last week made great support from both Israel and the United States.
However, the star is believed to have met the duo in Scotland on Monday at the time that US President Donald Trump had plans for a long -standing controversy in the Middle East.
Trump blessed his recognition move, saying for more than an hour during a widespread press conference, saying, “I have no objection to it (the star) position.”
Addressing Tuesday, the star also detailed several demands for the Palestinian Resistance Group Hamas, which is conducting Israeli hostages seized in its attacks on October 7, 2023.
“They should immediately release all the hostages, sign the ceasefire, to disarm and accept that they will not take any part in the Gaza government,” he said.
The UK leader added that London will make a diagnosis in September how far the parties have fulfilled these measures, “he added:” No one should be vetoed on our decision. “
‘Two state solutions’
The star has been under growing domestic and international pressure to formally recognize the Palestinian state, as the situation in Gaza is dramatically worsening.
Macron pressed publicly for the joint identity of Palestine during his visit to the UK earlier this month, while the star of the star is demanding the increasing number of MPs in the Labor Party.
More than 220 British lawmakers from nine parties, including star labor, published a letter last Friday requested to be formally identified by the Palestinian state.
The commitment was included in the Labor -winning manifesto last year, as part of a two -state solution with a safe and secure Israel, along with a capable and sovereign Palestinian state.
The star’s office also said that the UK had dropped its first aid into the Gaza Strip, as UN aid agencies have warned that the Palestinian territory is slipping into famine.
It states that “the first air drop of British aid” is coming down on Tuesday, which contains about half a million pounds of life -saving life.
The British leader said in a television address, “Palestinian people have now suffered horrific suffering in Gaza due to the devastating failure of aid.
“Must must end,” he added.
