Both sides said that there were clashes in early today, in the neighboring Thai coast province of Trott and the province of Cambodia, which is more than 100 km (60 miles) from other disputes along the long -standing border.

In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said he would continue to move the ceasefire proposal. Cambodia has supported Anwar’s plan, while Thailand has said it has in principle agreed.
According to the state news agency Bernama, Anwar said, “The fire is still exchanged.” He said that he had asked his Foreign Minister to “contact the relevant ministries and, if possible, I would stay with him myself – at least to stop the fighting”.
