The deputy chief of the US Department of Justice met with Geseline Maxwell the next day, a prisoner of the late sexual offender Jeffrey Apestin, whose notorious case has dragged President Donald Trump to a political fireworks level.
Todd Blanche, who is also a former personal lawyer of Trump, has just refused to say what he is talking to Maxwell at meetings in his Tallasi, Florida.
Maxwell’s lawyer David Marx has refused to give details about the contents of the meetings, but after the first hour long session on Thursday, his client has answered every question.
Trump is seeking to advance the story quickly, which has certainly seen him on the claims that his administration has reviewed the notorious issue.
On Friday, Trump once again tried to take a distance between himself and Apestin, which is a notorious financer who died in prison in 2019 while waiting for a sexual trafficking charges.
Prior to a visit to Scotland, he told reporters, “Trump, whose past friendship with Epestine has received a lot of media attention this week, told reporters ahead of a visit to Scotland,” I have nothing to do with this boy. “
He urged journalists to “pay attention” to the Democratic Party, such as former President Bill Clinton and his Treasury Secretary, former Harvard President Larry Summers, whose president claimed that Apestin’s “really close friends” were.
Asked if he was considering an apology for Maxwell’s 20-year imprisonment or his journey for sexual trafficking, Trump said it was “I didn’t think”-but he emphasized that he had the power to do so.
Apestin’s death was ordered to commit suicide in the New York prison box, but he gave conspiracy theories that he was killed so he was killed to prevent him from testifying against high -level colleagues.
Trump, who promised his basic disclosures about the case, has angered some of his supporters after the announcement of his administration in early July that he has not discovered any new elements that guaranteed the release of additional documents.
The Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said there was no evidence that there was a “list” of Apestin’s clients, while confirming that he died of suicide.
‘Sacrifice goat’?
According to US media, Billench and his team entered the Tallalahi Court House where they were meeting from the back door from Maxwell.
Maxwell’s lawyer, Marx, spoke briefly to journalists before his client’s new inquiry through Blanche.
He described Maxwell as a “goat of sacrifice”, “Absilin has been treated unfairly for five years.”
He added, “What she says can be supported, and she is telling the truth. She has no reason to lie at this place, and she will continue to speak the truth.”
Maxwell was convicted in 2022 for producing underage girls between 1994 and 2004 so that Apestin could sexually abuse them.
“The Department of Justice will share additional information about what we learned at the appropriate time,” Billechene wrote on Thursday.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that the president’s name was included in the hundreds, which were found during the so -called “epastin files” review, though it did not find evidence of wrongdoing.
Trump filed a $ 10 billion defamation case against the journal last week when he reported that he had written a sexually assaulted letter to Apestin on his 50th birthday in 2003.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, briefly deducted the legislative meeting this week, and sent lawmakers home one day to avoid a potential debate over the release of files.
