ISLAMABAD: Polio rehabilitation in South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi is due to repeated failure to vaccinate children due to poor cleaning and security and operational challenges.

However, the committee recommended withdrawing from the “Islamabad Healthcare Regulation (Amendment) Bill, 2024” on the condition that its key provisions would be included in the Allied Health Professionals Council Act, 2022, to avoid duplication.
The committee also expressed serious concern over the pricing of medical devices, especially stents and lenses and the absence of quality control and quality control in imports.
He directed the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) to accelerate the job process, enforce strict quality rules, and provide a updated about the rollout of its digital licensing and registration improvements.
