PESHAWAR: A private hotel responsible for the negligence and lack of professionalism of the incident, a report on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s report on the Swat River incident, has demanded that the hotel and Lucy have filed a complaint against the Luxury (PPC) under the Pakistan Code of Conduct (PPC).
The Culture and Tourism Department’s inquiry report states that the tourism department was not only “completely absent from the tragedy” and there was no active engagement in managing or managing safety, the government tourist helpline (1422) was unused, which is public awareness and lack of public awareness.
The Swat River, which took place on June 27, when 17 members of a family on the banks of the Swat River were trapped in a sudden and powerful increase of water.
Heading videos circulating on social media showed that the family shrunk on the island of the island, demanding nearly an hour of assistance, which has no immediate view.
Several tourists were rescued and several bodies were recovered in rescue operations, in which a child from Sialkot was chased with the body of Abdullah, who was eventually found in the Swat district of Swat district on Thursday after 21 days.
The tragedy, since then, has indicated several writ petitions in the Peshawar High Court, accusing the government and the concerned departments of negligence and apathy.
Peshawar High Court Chief Justice SM Atak Shah ordered a transparent investigation, after which the provincial government has assigned the investigation to the provincial inspection team.
The Five Page Investigation Report highlights the failure of the Culture and Tourism Authority (CTA) in licensing hotels working in tourist hotspots, and also indicates the fact that the Tourism Police Development Authority has banned Upper Swat under the jurisdiction of the Phasegat.
Expressing regret that the travel agents did not work without any regulation or without any accountability, the facts seeking committee said that no procedure for the implementation or safety was used by the administrative department or the CTA, which showed that the latter was a safeguard, rather than the latter.
Noting that a private hotel was in fact built by encroachments on the edge of the river, without any objection certificate (NOC) or an approved building project, the department’s report states that the administration has allowed unorganized and open access to the rivers directly from the hotel premises.
“No attempt was made to warn guests, raise obstacles, or to ban the movement despite repeated climatic warnings. This failure to protect guests is especially a cause for severe neglect of the hotel rivers and the environmental conditions at the moment.”
Licensing, complying measures needed
“Authority [CTA] The report states that a licensing government has to be launched for hotels and hospitality units working in tourist destinations.
It also calls for the spread of tourism and safety information through print and electronic media, tourist convenience centers lead to key locations, as well as with a comprehensive directory of tourist destinations in the province, which should be maintained and promoted.
It states that “tourism police should be deployed to all tourist destinations in Swat. Travel agents working inside and outside the province can be regularly made and they can be obliged to follow a standard security protocol.”
The report also recommends that hotels need to get a climate compliance certificate for monsoon operation, which will ensure the safety of guests and ban access to the river.
