Investigators have successfully downloaded flight recorder data from Air India Boeing 787 Dream Liner that immediately on June 12. Later, it was destroyed, killing 260 people.
This significant development is an important step towards understanding the destruction of the worst aviation globally in a decade.
London -related flight, carrying 242 people, went down shortly after departing from Ahmedabad. In addition to one of the 242 people on the board, everything was killed on the ground.
The plane’s black box – cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) – were recovered immediately after the crash. The CVR was found on the roof of a building on the crash site on June 13, and on June 16, the FDR was recovered from the rubble.
On Thursday, the Civil Aviation Ministry confirmed that flight recorders data were accessed on Wednesday.
The investigating team is led by the Bureau (AAIB) in collaboration with the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in collaboration with the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
The ministry said in a statement, “The purpose of these efforts is to identify important factors for re -establishing the sequence of accidents that cause accidents and increasing aviation safety and preventing future events.”
US National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Humidi told Reuters on Thursday that he hopes the Indian government will be able to share details of the accident investigation in a brief sequence.
“We hope for aviation protection and public safety and public awareness at a aviation incident,” Hamundi said at a aviation incident.
He said that the NTSB team is working diligently to provide assistance to India and “we have received the best support from the Indian Government and the AIB.”
According to a source of knowledge of the matter, the investigation into the crash of the Air India aircraft, which began to lose height after reaching a height of 650 feet, focuses on the engine.
The Wall Street Journal reported that investigators believe that an emergency power generator near the Dream Liner was working when it crashed.
Most air accidents are caused by numerous factors, a preliminary report is expected 30 days after the accident.
Two GE recorders, one in the jet front and the other in the rear, are installed on 787 jets of Boeing and record the same set of flight data. GE, who sent experts to India, developed the engine on Air India 787 and also developed a joint flight data and cockpit voice recorder, called the “improved air -powered flight recorder.”
NTSB said in a 2014 report that the forward recorder is equipped with an independent power supply that provides backup power to the device for 10 minutes. If the aircraft’s power source is lost, NTSB said in a 2014 report.
Three experts told Reuters, and it was implemented that the so -called black box for analysis could be sent to the United States.
US aviation expert Anthony Burke House said the accident investigators may have generally updated some of the recorders’ status, and have begun downloading data in such a high profile accident.
“Countries generally know that the world is watching,” he said.
India said last week that it remains to be decided where the black box will be analyzed. The data obtained from them can provide significant clues in any conversation between the aircraft’s performance and the crash.
India has said that its actions have been fully complied with domestic laws and international responsibilities.
