KARACHI: The Muharram has been viewed from the eyes of the Crescent and the Day of Aishwarya will fall on July 6 (Sunday), the Central Right-Hilal Committee announced on Thursday.
Addressing a press conference, the chairman of the committee, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, said that a meeting of the Central, Zonal and District Right-Hilal Committees was held simultaneously at their respective headquarters.
He said that the committee has received several evidence of moon monitoring from across the country.
Muharram is considered one of the four sacred Islamic months. The ashura falls on his 10th day when the grandson of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) was martyred in the battle of Karbala with his family with Hazrat Imam Hussein (RA).

He further emphasized that no individual will be allowed to incite unrest or engage in destructive activities. Naqvi said that the implementation of the Code of Conduct will be ensured during the Muharram and it has noted that processions and gatherings will be monitored using modern technology.
The meeting included briefing from Inspectors General Police and Home Secretaries from the Provinces, AJK, GB, and Islamabad. Minister of State for Home Talal Chaudhry, Interior Secretary, and Acting Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) were present.

In addition, a Ulema Peace Conference was organized in Islamabad under the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII). The program was chaired by Dr. Ragheb Naeemi, and was attended by religious scholars from all schools in all schools.
A joint statement issued after the conference states that all citizens should maintain their oath of loyalty to the constitution and the state of Pakistan. The statement states that the state has the right to take strong action against those who spread hatred and when imposing their beliefs on others by force is a clear violation of the Shariah. It also warns that any public or private educational institution will face military training.
In addition, the statement calls for action against extremism and sectarianism. He emphasized that no one would insult the words, the Prophets, the companions, or the people of Al-Bayt. He further emphasized that no person should declare any other infidel (takfir).
