Cape Canvare: An American trade mission carrying staff from India, Poland and Hungary was trapped at the International Space Station on Wednesday, and took astronauts from those countries to space for the first time in decades.
Axum Mission 4, or X4, was launched from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 2:31 pm (0631 GMT), with a new Space X -crew dragon capsule riding a Falcon 9 rocket.
The vehicle is in the dock with the Arbital Lab at about 1100 GMT on Thursday and is there for 14 days.
India’s pilot on the spacecraft was Shobanshu Shukla. Mission experts Poland’s Slopes Ozansky-Wasniusky and Hungary’s Tabor Kapo; And the United States commander Peggy Heiteson, a former NASA astronaut who now works for the company Axemom Space, which organizes private space flights, among other things.
The last time India, Poland or Hungary sent people into space, their existing astronauts had not yet been born – and at that time they were called cosmons, because they all flew to the Soviet missions before the end of the iron veil.
“I take with me not only to equipment and equipment, but also the hopes and dreams of one billion hearts,” said 39 -year -old Shakla at a recent news conference.
He became the first Indian in space after a pilot of an air force, Rakesh Sharma, to help access to allied countries as part of a Soviet move in 1984 as part of a Soviet move.
The Indian Space Agency, Isro, views the flight as an important step towards the mission of its own staff, which means plans for “Sky Craft” in Hindi, 2027.
Indian Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh immediately of the elevator off. He congratulated Shukla after.
“Really a proud moment for India!” He wrote on the X.
While riding in ISS, Shukla is ready to talk to a high-level Indian VIP-which has been widely speculated in Indian media as Prime Minister Narendra Modi-in a moment of a soft power aimed at increasing national pride.
All three countries are proposing bills for their astronauts. Hungary announced in 2022 that he was paying 100 million for his seat, according to SpaceNews.com. India and Poland have not revealed how much they are spending.

The AX-4 launch has emerged after a delay in the mission of several issues, which will actually take place in early June.
It follows an explosive online wholesale between US President Donald Trump and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and recently Trump’s ally and adviser.
Trump threatens Yank Space X’s federal contracts – worth tens of billions of dollars – which indicates that Musk is threatening Dragon’s initial retirement, which is currently the only US spacecraft certified to carry astronauts to ISS.
The Musk returned to the danger a few hours later, and in the days to come, he tried to remove himself further by writing on the X, saying that he had gone “far away.”
NASA and the Pentagon’s Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy will be widely disrupted between Space X and the US government to send staff, cargo, satellite and investigations.
But for now, analysts believe the two sides are confused to take a serious break.
The AX-4 flight indicates the start of the fifth and last staff dragon, which once reached orbit, will be named after the active fleet, after joining the flexibility, endurance and independence.
SpaceX finally plans to evacuate its existing vehicles in favor of starchy in the 2030s, which is currently in development, which is the largest rocket of its next generation.
The AX-4 will conduct experiments around 60, in which microlex studies, salad seeds sprout, and how well the microscopic creatures called Tardi Guards live in space.
