WASHINGTON: AI Generated Deep Fax, video game footage has been misrepresented as a real battle, and a chat -boot -made false Israeli -Iran conflict is distorting. This tech -driven information is promoting the war of statement in social media platforms.
Information war with Iran’s nuclear facilities and Israeli strikes on military leadership.
Experts say the increase in misinformation of the war time has exposed the urgent need for strong detection tools, as major tech platforms have reduced the material and reduce the dependence on humanitarian examinations by reducing the material.
Last week, after Iran collided with Israeli missile barrages, videos made by AI claimed that Tel Aviv and Ben Goreen Airport have been claimed to have shown the damage.
These videos were widely shared in Facebook, Instagram and X.
Using the reverse image search, AFP’s facts checked found that clips were actually posted by a tricky account that produces AI infinite content.
“Generative AI has increased in false information, especially Iran is related to the Israeli conflict,” said Ken Jon June Miachi, founder of the Austin -based firm, Buttmindai.
“These tools are being benefited to manipulate public perceptions, which often promote divisive or misleading statements with unprecedented scale and sophistication.”
‘Photo-Reality’
Getarel Security, an American company focusing on detecting manipulation media, including AIDP fax, also identified a wave of Israeli-Iran conflict videos.
The company connects visually impaired videos-which includes Israeli aircraft and buildings, along with Iranian missiles, as well as Iranian missiles aboard a trailer-from Google’s VEO 3AI generator, known for hyper realistic visuals.
The news outlet appears at the bottom of an online video posted by the Tehran Times, which claims that the “Iranian missile” killed Tel Aviv.
“It is no surprise that as the imagery is improving in realism, they are being misused to spread misinformation and sow confused,” said Henny Farid, a co-founder of Gatel Security and Professor Henny Farid of California, California.
Farid offered a tip to find such a deep fax: VEO 3 videos usually had a combination of eight seconds length or similar clips.
“This eight -second limit does not clearly prove that the video is fake, but before you share it again, you should have a good reason to stop and check the facts,” he said.
Lying is not limited to social media.
The Disformation Watch Dog News Guard has identified 51 websites, which have forwarded more than a dozen false claims-from which Iran has developed reports of widespread destruction in Tel Aviv, from Iran to the capture of Israeli pilots.
Sources spreading these false statements include telegram channels affiliated with Iranian military and government media sources affiliated with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), which has been approved by the US Department of Treasury.
‘Turn on the story’
“We are seeing a flood of false claims and the common Iranians appear to be the main targeting audience,” McKenzie Sadigi, a news guard researcher, told AFP.
Sadigi described Iranian citizens as “trapped in a sealed information environment”, where state media dominates the chaos “to control the story”.
AFP’s facts checkers identified a clip posted on X, claiming that the Israeli jet was shot dead by Iran. The footage has a match match with military counterfeit games ARMA 3.
The Israeli military has rejected Iranian media reports, claiming that its fighter jets have been dropped down as “fake news” on Iran.
Researchers say researchers say that the researchers are referring to quick facts, says researchers say, researchers say, researchers say, researchers say, researchers say, researchers say.
“This has highlighted today’s online information landscape crisis: Digital content,” said Butt Mindai’s Miachi.
“There is a dire need for better detection tools, media literacy and platform accountability to protect the integrity of public conversation.”
