London: Shubman Gul will be in the light as a new -looking India, without star batsmen Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, bid to end their 18 -year wait to win the Test series in England.
Gul won as a captain after announcing his retirement from Test cricket last month. A few days later, Kohli said he too was leaning internationally.
Gul’s batting order also has the responsibility of filling Kohli’s shoes at number four. On Wednesday, vice -captain of India, Rashabh Pant, revealed that his new captain would bat in the first five Test series against England, starting with Headingley on Friday.
The 25 -year -old Gul has a minor test of 35 35 matches, a figure that falls to 29 in sports and decreases less than 15 years in England in three matches.
In the last three decades, the number of India has been dominated by four positions, with the batting of the time, Sachin Tendulkar and Kohli scored 21,056 runs in 278 Tests.
Gul’s first challenge will ensure the requirements of Capt. Dawn with his batting in England, where India has won only three Test series – in 1971, 1986 and 2007. So far, Gul has made all the right noise saying last month: “I just believe in guiding for example, but, in my view, is far from the field with discipline and hard work.”
In 2022, a life -threatening car will be bent after the wicketkeeper batsman returning from the accident, while opener Yashosi Jeswal is one of the growing stars. But this is not just in batting where India-who has spent a limited time of warm-up in England-will have to compete with any actor actors without it.
Jasprett Bumra is currently the best all -format bowler in world cricket but after a waist injury, according to the tough schedule, only three of the five Tests can play.
Veteran off -spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has retired from Test cricket, while after ankle surgery last year, Mohammad Shami’s veteran has been released. If India has concerns about the ability to take 20 wickets that they need to win the match, these doubts also apply to England.
Last year, India lost 4-1, with Ben Stokes men being instructed to turn the tables at domestic soil in the series that launched a new Test championship championship after South Africa’s dramatic defeat in the final at Lord’s last week.
England, however, are without a retired duo of James Anderson and Stuart Broad, their two most successful Test bowlers with a shared 1,308 wickets. “When these two are not there, it looks great,” but at the same time, they have a lot of ammunition in England’s bowling lineup.
“We don’t want to take anyone lightly because our team is young and still want to develop ourselves.” The desire to attack England’s desire, including both Jofra Archer and Markwood, has been obstructed by the repeated injuries to the fast bowlers.
Both Archer and Wood will disappear in Headingli, where Durham Peace Man Braden Cars is ready to start his house in the attack where Chris Vox, who was missing most of the ankle injury, is a senior summer.
“Not far from the fact that for many years, England have wide and Anderson as the main two bowlers, so it is a bit more inexperienced,” Cars said. The 29 -year -old added: “I think this is a good opportunity for some younger players, with a little less experience, a good chance to end some authority in the series.”
