Israel has launched a massive military strike on Iran, targeting sites, including some of its most important nuclear facilities.
The following is a summary of the loss of Iran’s nuclear program, which includes data from the last quarterly report of the United Nations Nuclear Watch Dog on May 31.
Review
Iran is purely rich in uranium to 60 to to. This can be easily improved by about 90 90 %, which is a group of weapons.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which inspects Iran’s nuclear places, including its enrichment plant, says it is “serious concern” because no other country has enriched this level without the manufacture of nuclear weapons. Western powers say there is no civil justification for enrichment at this level.
Iran refuses to search for nuclear weapons. It points to the right to nuclear technology for nuclear purposes, including enrichment, as a party to the nuclear non -proliferation agreement.
Israel, which is not a party to the NPT, is the only country in the Middle East that is widely believed to have nuclear weapons. Israel does not deny or confirm it.
Program’s heart: Uranium enrichment
When Israel launched its attacks, Iran had three operating uranium enrichment plants:
Fuel enrichment Plant (FEP) (FEP) (Power Supply)
A wide underground facility designed for 50,0000 centers, machines that reinforce uranium.
There have been long speculations among military experts whether Israeli air strikes may eliminate the facility that these underground are several destinations.
There are about 17,000 centers of centers installed, of which about 13,500 were working at the final count, which has enriched uranium up to 5 %.
IAEA Chief Rafael Grossi told the UN Security Council on Friday, especially the substation of electricity, the main power building, emergency power supply and backup generators that the power infrastructure was destroyed in the nutrients.
He said, though there was no indication of a physical attack on the FEP underground hall, “electricity loss … has damaged the centenary here”.
Grosy cited the uncontrollable “IAEA information available”. Although Iran has provided some information to the agency, IAEA usually uses a wide range of satellite imagery.
Pilot fuel enrichment Plant (PFEP) in nuts (destroyed)
The smallest and, above the ground, the soft target of three enrichment plants. Long research and development center, it used less centerfront than other plants, which are often connected to the small cliffs of the machines named Cascoids.
However, it has increased 164 advanced centrifuges to 60 % in the entire size of the entire size, 60 %. In addition, PFEP was only working in 201 centers, which enrichs up to 2 %.
Most of the research and development work attributed to PFEP was recently transferred to the FEP, where more than a thousand advanced Senatefus was enriched by 5 %.
Grosy said the PFEP was destroyed in the Israeli attack.
Fordo fuel enrichment plant (no visible damage)
On Monday, Grosy reiterated that Iran’s deepest burial enrichment site, which was dug in the mountain, did not have any clear damage.
Although only 2,000 centrifuges work, it enrichs Iran’s uranium by 60 %, which, like PFEP, uses almost the same number of centrifugal fuses, as it raises up to 20 % enrichment uranium in these shrubs compared to 5 % in PFEP.
So Fordo produced 166.6kg of uranium in the recent quarter. According to the IAEA Yard stick, it is in principle, if more enriched, under only four nuclear weapons, compared to 19.2kg of PFEP, less than half the price.
Other facilities
The IAEA has said that Israeli attacks damaged four buildings in the nuclear complex in Asfahan, the IAEA said, including uranium conversion facility (UCF) and facilities where uranium metal was worked on.
Although other uses of it, mastered uranium metal technology is an important step in making nuclear weapons basic. If Iran tries to build a nuclear weapon, it will need to take grade uranium with weapons and turn it into uranium metal.
The change in uranium is the process by which “yellow cake” is converted to uranium uranium haxaflooride, feed stock for sanitary fuses, so that it can be strengthened. If the UCF is out of use, Iran will eventually get out of uranium unless it gets an external source of uranium hexaflovaride.
Scientific
At least 14 Iranian nuclear scientists, including car bombs, have been killed in Israeli attacks on Sunday, two Gulf sources said.
Israeli Armed Forces named nine of them on Saturday, saying they “played a central part of progress toward nuclear weapons” and that “their elimination represents an important blow to the Iranian government’s mass destruction”. This claim cannot be immediately confirmed.
Western powers have often said that Iran’s nuclear development provides it with “non -refundable knowledge”, which suggests that losing experts or facilities can reduce growth, but development is permanent.
Uranium storage
Iran has a huge reservoir of uranium at different levels.
According to the IAEA Yard Stick, by May 17, Iran was estimated that it had enriched a lot of uranium up to 60 % to make nine nuclear weapons.
At the low enrichment level, it has more bombs enough to have an Enough, though it will have more efforts: up to 20 % enrichment for two more, and 11 more for 11 more.
Officials say Iran’s most enriched uranium storage is preserved in Isfahan under IAEA seal. IAEA does not report where it is safe, nor has it said it was affected by the strikes.
Open the questions
How will Iran respond?
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazim Ghar Babdi told State TV on Saturday that Iran will take steps to protect nuclear materials and equipment that will not be notified of IAEA and will not cooperate with IAEA as before.
Lawmakers are also preparing a bill that can follow in the footsteps of North Korea, indicating that Iran was expelled from the NPT, which announced its withdrawal in 2003 and proceeded to examine nuclear weapons.
Iaea does not know how many centers are outside Iran’s enriched plants. Further decline in cooperation with IAEA can increase speculation that it has formed or created a secret enrichment plant using this supply.
Officials say that existing sanctuary catalysts can also be created to enhance a different purity level within a week.
What is the status of uranium stock?
If Iran is no longer changed, its current uranium hexaflovaride and enriched uranium stock becomes even more important.
How bad is the loss?
IAEA has not yet been able to inspect to detail the damage done there.
Will there be more attacks?
Immediately on the start of the attacks on Friday. Later, US President Donald Trump called on Iran to agree with the United States to impose fresh sanctions on his nuclear program “nothing left”. The conversation was called on June 15.
