WASHINGTON: An uproar for a gunman was underway on Saturday that shot two Democratic state lawmakers in Minnesota, killing one and her husband and injuring the other, in which the governor of the North American state said that there were politically motivated attacks.
The firing came to light when deep political division gave birth to the United States on the same day, with tens of thousands of protesters across the country taking to the streets against Republican President Donald Trump’s policies.
Authorities named the attacker as 57 -year -old Venus Luther Bolter, who was still widely and was considered “armed and dangerous”.
“We believe that they are probably working to escape from the (Manipolis-Saint Paul) area,” said Drew Evans, the superintendent of the State Bureau of Criminal Paul, told reporters.
Bowlater was seen on footage of a business surveillance in the Manipolis area on Saturday morning, the official said.
Authorities are still investigating the suspected objectives, and they did not know whether additional people were involved in the attacks, Evans said.
Trump and US Attorney General Palm Bondy called it “horrific violence” and said that the criminals would be prosecuted “to a completely” law. “
The Federal Bureau of Investigation presented a reward of up to 000 50,000, for the arrest or convicted information of the bav for the bavalter.
‘Target Political Violence’
Governor Tim Walls told a former press conference that state representative Melissa Hartman – former speaker – and her husband, Mark Brooklyn, were killed in their home in the outskirts of Mani Plus.
The governor said that state Senator John Hafman and his wife Yuvati were shot and injured at their house in a nearby Champions, the governor said, adding that his voice was being broken with emotion.
Walls told reporters, “This was a process of targeted political violence.” Peaceful dialogue is the basis of our democracy. We do not resolve our differences with violence or gun tip. “
Evans said Huffman was out of surgery and was “in a stable” but he had “major injuries.”
The state official said that the half -man and his wife were first shot, and when the police were investigated, the heartman and her husband were shot about 90 minutes later.
The gunman managed to escape during a fire with officers near the Heartman’s residence, Evons said.
Pretorian Guards Security Services, domestic security company, told Bolter the Director of Security Patrol on his website.
To imitate law enforcement agencies
In both attacks, officials believe the attacker imitated the law enforcement officer.
In a picture of a Bowltor released by the FBI, it showed that a latex mask look like life, which is probably an attempt to avoid identifying.
Anti-Trump rally in Manipolis-which is part of the national wave of the “Nine Kings” protest for Saturday-the firing was canceled by police after issuing a shelter order.
Police said the suspect was found in the car for the demonstration, as well as a manifesto in which several politicians and state officials were named.
Tensions were high all over the country, and officials in Texas said they removed the state capital complex after a “credible threat” against lawmakers planning to participate in a protest.
In Brooklyn Park, where Heartman lived, authorities lifted an order of a shelter on Saturday afternoon, and said that when the suspect was largely, “the reason is to believe that he is no longer in the area.”
The United States has been deeply divided after Trump returned to the White House in January.
The Republican president has criticized the Democrats for their stringent immigration policy, their attacks on universities and the media and understanding the boundaries of executive power.
“We are continuing to we are continuing,” Walls said as a way of resolving the differences peacefully, here in Minnesota, this tragic move should be a reminder for all of us. “
Former US Congress woman Gabbi Gfords, who survived the head in 2011 and is now a prominent lawyer to prevent gun violence, has described herself as “devastating” by heartman’s death.
“We must protect our democracy from people who try to destroy it with a gun,” Gifords wrote on the X.
