London: The nine -member high -level Pakistani diplomatic mission has arrived in the UK after a “positive” conversation with US senators and Congress members in Washington and New York during a five -day stay in the United States.
The delegation was headed by former Foreign Minister Bilal Bhutto-Zardari, who organized more than 50 meetings in the United States to attract regional peace in the United States and the dispute with India, as well as New Delhi’s enmity and provocation against Islamabad.
The delegation includes Hina Rabbani Khar, Senator Sherry Rehman, Dr. Mosdak Malik, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Jalil Abbas Jalani, Tehmina Janjua, Basra Anjum Butt and Syed Faisal Sabzwari.
The recent conflict between nuclear armed countries was mobilized by New Delhi on April 22 after an attack in Ijuk’s Pahalgam, where gunmen killed at least 26 civilians. India labeled it as a terrorist act that Pakistan had committed, which has been denied by leaders in Islamabad. Subsequently, India invaded Pakistan, which led to a day -long military engagement between the two neighbors.
Talking to Geo News, Senator Rehman said he had positive meetings with US lawmakers who understand the position of Pakistan.
He said, “Everyone agreed that the water weapon was dangerous. He emphasized that Iiojk had become the largest open air jail.
Sherry also made it clear that the Pakistani delegation was not “chasing” the Indian delegation, pointing to the Pakistani and Indian delegation’s visit to the United States at the same time. He said: “Our story is our own story.”
He further warned that Pakistan would respond if India was to invade, and emphasized that “our aim is to promote peace and dialogue”.
Sherry said that Pakistan had “more complaints against India” and he suggested that the sole purpose of the Indian delegation was to discredit Pakistan, while the delegation went to the United States to “tell the story of Pakistan”.
Sabzwari, another member of the diplomatic delegation, told Geo News that his visit began in the United Nations, where he presented the issue of Pakistan.
“Although we have shown military superiority, we have come to invite peace,” Sabzwari said. He expressed his desire to tell India to the world powers that “two nuclear powers cannot develop in such a dangerous environment.”
He said that India wants to “get the immunity of aggression without evidence” citing the Pahalgam incident, after which India attacked the civilian infrastructure on Pakistani soil despite demand for evidence.
He said that Pakistan sought the current ceasefire to lead to “permanent peace”. He said the country’s position was presented to the US State Department and MPs, and his “peace -based stance has been widely widely received.” He also said that he had brought a message of peace to the region, which is India’s failure and Pakistan’s success.
‘US intervention necessary’
Meanwhile, Dutgir emphasized that the water issue is a matter of life and death for Pakistan, and we will not back down.
He said that the Americans initially believed that President Donald Trump broker -seizing fire would mean no further interference. “Our mission they had to understand that interference is necessary because India does not want a neutral inquiry or talks.”
Jilani, another member of the delegation, said that there was a good conversation with all members of the UN Security Council. “We also met with the UN Secretary General and the President of the UN General Assembly,” he said.
He reiterated Pakistan’s stance that “India has invaded and Pakistan is a peaceful country.” He mentioned that Pakistan has been urging India for a long time to resolve the issues peacefully. “Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression has shocked the image of India in the world,” he said.
The former caretaker Foreign Minister added that the international community has now rejected India’s long -standing allegations against Pakistan and that the false impression of India’s major power has been lost.
Jilani added: “Pakistan shot six Indian planes, jammed their system, and targeted military installations,” and also “after the recent war, the Kashmir issue has emerged as a global issue worldwide”.
Meanwhile, Senator Butt informed Geo News that he discussed the Indus Waters Agreement and Kashmir issue with UN members. He warned that if the Indus Waters Agreement was ignored today, “then the future agreement will not be important”.
“If Pakistan and India go into war, the entire region is affected,” he said. Referring to Islamabad’s diplomatic success, he said that Pakistan received a “better response in the United States”.
He highlighted that Pakistan was calling it a ceasefire, while India was calling it a break. He expressed concern that if Kashmir and IWT’s issues were no longer resolved, the matter would increase once again in six months, and called on US President Trump to play its role in preventing the region from being affected by the war.
Earlier on Saturday, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal had said that the recent five -day conflict had exposed India’s so -called “pure security provider”, instead of being a source of insecurity for South Asia and the wider global community.
“India’s actions had reduced the range of armed conflict in the region to a dangerous extent […] They started the war on the basis of lies and could not win it.
Talking to the lunch participants, Bilawal said that India has long presented the West, especially the United States as a stable force, which has justified foreign aid and defense deals.
He emphasized, “US taxpayers are subsidizing India’s military industrial complex under the deception that it provides regional stability. But these five days of conflict proved to be otherwise,” he said, emphasizing that India and Pakistan are peaceful and peaceful.
