The 50 million members of the Shiite Ismaili community are celebrating the arrival of round chandeliers, a symbolic trophy for the World Competition. The program aims to unite the community worldwide in Dubai from July 20 to July 27. Community members belonging to all corners of the world are commemorating fans. To value this historic moment, mega events have been organized in different parts of the country by the Ismaili community in different community centers.
The Shi’ite Ismaili community, headed by the late Prince Karim Agha Khan, who actively spread its role in the importance of diversity and abundance in Islam and the social development of local communities. He also played an important role in promoting and recognizing human skills, creativity, artistic work and sports capabilities. For this purpose, he established institutions like AGA Khan Youth and Sports Board, AGA Khan Award for Architecture, AGA Khan Trust for Culture and AGA Khan Music Award in 1998, which acknowledged and praised many artists and other professionals around the world, including Pakistan. Sen. Zahoor and Zarsinga, from Pakistan, were awarded the Aga Khan Music Award in 2022.
Asif Abdullah Virani, a volunteer from a community from Hyderabad, Sindh, says that the current spiritual leader of this community, Shah Rahim Husseini, Aga Khan Wei, wants to lift the cultural and artistic heritage of his late father, Prince Karim Agha Khan. In view of his desire, the event, titled World Competitions, is divided into two types: Jubilee Games and Jubilee Arts, where leading players and artists from all over the world will have the opportunity to showcase their abilities and abilities. “The Jubilee Arts and Jubilee Games projects were launched in 2007 and 2017, which led to the launch of the Golden Jubilee and the Diamond Jubilee, led by the late Prince Karim Agha Khan.” He says the participants will represent their countries in the program in Dubai, where members of the community will gather at the end of July this year and to recognize the late Prince Karim Agha Khan’s contribution to humanity.
Adeel Anwar Ali, another dedicated member of the group of volunteers from Sojul, Sindh, says he and other members of the community are eagerly awaiting the welcome of the home symbolic chandelier. He says members of the community living in different sectors of Sindh are planning to arrange a welcome with cultural festivals, dance and stage shows. The incidents in this regard will take place in Hyderabad, Thatta, Sujul, Tando Mohammad Khan and Badin during the first week of June. Similar incidents are already underway in Karachi community centers and residential areas.
Participants will represent their countries at the program in Dubai, where members of the community will gather at the end of July this year to celebrate the diversity and to recognize the cooperation of the late Prince Karim Agha Khan.
Tajuddin, a senior member of the community, described it as a program to promote peace, unity and diverse methods to serve the society. He remembers the guidance of the late Aadha Khan IV about the protection of cultural heritage and artistic structures. He says his 49th spiritual leader was determined to restore and restore Islamic architecture and promote Islamic culture all over the world. He mentioned that the late leader also requested to celebrate religion and to help those in need.
The first edition of the program was in Dubai in 2016. It showcased skilled players from the Shia Ismaili community from all over the world, who participated in the program and demonstrated their abilities. An active member of the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board for Hyderabad mentioned that Sarah Haider, a leading Pakistani singer. The World Competition Program will consist of a musical competition, a film festival, the arts and artwork presentations, band performances, cultural shows and panels, as well as promoting diversity, peace and unity. Talking about the widespread services launched by the community, Chairman Axib Thatta and Shah Binder Rizwana Noorani said that the community has a large number of registered volunteers providing services in various sectors. The recently launched Ismaili volunteer services have mobilized community members belonging to a diverse cultural background for a common purpose: serving humanity without discrimination. He said that volunteers have started trees gardens and environmental protection projects in different parts of the country, including Sindh, remote areas of Balochistan as well as in the northern areas. Planting and Tree Care has been the foundation stone of the Aga Khan Development Network’s environmental policy, under which 89 million trees have been planted globally since 1982. It also allows the soil to capture the retention of carbon and water, as well as to prevent top soil erosion. In addition, trees promote new cultivation to help restore crops, livestock, water agriculture and agriculture and environmental systems.
He said the program was designed and launched under special instructions issued by his greatness Prince Rahim Agha Khan, who wanted to go there to leave his late father. The program will pave the way for further strengthening the relations between the community and its global leadership.
