London: US Pakistani businessman Ticone Tinveer Ahmed has been in the headlines this week after the Geo News disclosure that he held several secret meetings with former premiere Imran Khan in Adiala Jail in October last year to find the basis for a progress.
The representative revealed in a report for The News and Geo on April 14, 2025, without naming anyone, that an American Pakistani tycoon made several rounds of jail with Khan until there was talks. On Monday, Tanveer Ahmed confirmed to Geo News in an interview that it was the one who had met Khan several times.
Since his interview was broadcast on Geo News, the businessman has been in the eyes of a storm on social media and Pakistani TV talk shows. Talking to Geo Reporter Shabbir Dar outside Adiala Jail after meeting Imran Khan, Emma Khan revealed that Tanveer Ahmed was a major donor at Namal University. He has also made major donations to the Shukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) but not to PTI. Alima Khan also mentioned that Tanveer Ahmed has donated about $ 10 million to the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad.
Emma Khan was referring to the donation for which Field Marshal Asim Munir thanked Tanveer Ahmed last year: “Pakistan is proud of a hero like you.”
