Rawalpindi: Security forces shot more than a dozen terrorists in an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The army’s media wing said that after the presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, an operation was carried out in North Waziristan General Area Datta Khel, adding that security forces effectively shot and shot 14 of them after intense exchange of fire.
The ISPR noted, “Senatorial operations are being carried out to eliminate the terrorist organized by any other Indian found in the area.”
Praising the security forces on the successful operation, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the terrorists’ blasphemous intentions, and the enemies of humanity would be crushed.
Giving remarks, the Prime Minister said, “We will remove terrorism regarding the professionalism of the security forces, adding that the government and security forces are determined to completely eliminate terrorism from the country.”
The operation came a day when five Indian sponsored terrorists were shot dead during an IBO in Kachi district of Mach area of Balochistan.
IBOS is part of the ongoing national efforts to prevent the threat of terrorism, which saw a slight increase in militant attacks in May 2025.
The data released by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICS), based in Islamabad, indicates a 5 % increase in attacks compared to April, though the overall image shows that the militant groups are widespread despite regional geographical political climate.
According to the PICS monthly security diagnosis, 85 militant attacks were recorded in May, which increased from 81 to 81 in April.
