Ukraine blew up the Russian highway bridge when a passenger train was crossing it and also attacked the bombers, which had deep nuclear capability inside Siberia.
After the uncertainty on whether or not to attend Ukraine, President Wolodmeer Zelinski said Defense Minister Rustam Omarov would sit with Russian officials in the second phase of direct peace talks in Istanbul on Monday.
More than a week ago, the largest prisoner of war was exchanged in the first round of talks – but there is no sense of consensus on ways to stop the fight.
Among the peace talks, though, there was a lot of war.
At least seven people were killed and 69 were injured when a highway bridge, neighboring Ukraine, was flown to a passenger train in Russia’s Brown region, with 388 people aboard Moscow. So far no one has claimed responsibility.

The Russian Ministry of Defense admitted on the Telegram Messaging app that Ukraine launched drone strikes against Russian military planes in five areas on Sunday.
It states that the attacks repelled all attacks except two regions – in the north, Kurmansk and Erickotk in Siberia – where “FPV drones started from a nearby area of Airfields resulted in the start of several aircraft.”
The fire was extinguished without any casualties. The ministry said some of the attacks were detained.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russia launched 472 drones in Ukraine overnight, which is the highest night so far. Russia also launched seven missiles, the Air Force said.
Russia said it has deepened Ukraine’s benign region, and maps from Open Source Ukraine have shown that Russia has taken 450 square kilometers of Ukraine in May, which is the fastest monthly move in at least six months.
US President Donald Trump has called for reconciliation with Russia and Ukraine, and has threatened that if they do not do so, they will go – possibly the responsibility of supporting Ukraine on the shoulders of European powers – which has less cash than the United States.
According to Trump’s envoy to Keith Kelog, both sides present their related documents in Turkey, which offer their ideas for the terms of peace, though it is clear that after three years of intense war, Moscow and Kiev are far away.
Putin ordered tens of thousands of soldiers to invade Ukraine in February 2022 after an eight -year fighting in eastern Ukraine between Russian -backed separatists and Ukrainian troops. More than 1.2 million people have been killed and injured in the war since 2022, the United States said.
Trump has described Putin as “crazy” and has put Zilnsky in public at the Oval Office, but the US president has also said that he thinks peace is achieved and if Putin is delayed, he can impose strict sanctions on Russia.
In June last year, Putin set his preliminary conditions for the immediate end of the war: Ukraine should leave its NATO ambitions and all its troops should withdraw from the entire area of four Ukrainian territories that have been claimed and mostly under Russia.
According to a copy of the document shown by Reuters, the Ukrainian negotiators in Istanbul will present a proposed roadmap to the Russian team to reach a sustainable peace settlement.

The document also states that the current location of the frontline will begin the point of negotiations.
