According to a secret UN secret nuclear care report, Iran has accelerated its highly enriched uranium production, as Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said on Saturday that Tehran considers nuclear weapons “unacceptable”.
According to the latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) viewed by the AFP, Iran has increased its uranium reserves by up to 60 %, which is close to about 90 90 % of the atomic weapons.
It said in its quarterly report that Iran’s estimated amount is 408.6kg, which has increased by 60 % by May 17, which is 133.8kg after the last report in February.
The total amount of Iran’s enriched uranium is now higher than the 2015 agreement with the global powers, and is estimated at 9,247.6kg.
The IAEA said, “significantly increasing production by Iran and the accumulation of highly enriched uranium, which is the only nuclear weapon to produce such nuclear material, is a serious concern.”
In a separate depth report, the IAEA criticized the “minimal satisfactory” cooperation with Tehran for its examination of its nuclear program, especially noted the lack of Iran’s progress in the description of nuclear materials found in unannounced locations.
In difficulties related to uranium enrichment
The report comes when Tehran pursues a critical talks with the United States in its nuclear program.
Western governments have long been suspected to have long that it has been trying to promote Israel’s widespread suspicious but unannounced weapons capability to counter nuclear weapons.
Following the IAEA report, Israel on Saturday accused Iran of “fully committed” to obtaining nuclear weapons.
“Such enrichment is only in countries that are operating in nuclear weapons and have no citizen justification,” a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
However, Aragchi confirmed the country’s long -standing position and said that Tehran considers nuclear weapons “unacceptable”.
“If this is the case with nuclear weapons, yes, we also consider such weapons as unacceptable,” Iran’s central negotiator, Aragchi, said in a television speech. “We agree with them on this issue.”
US President Donald Trump said Iran could not have a “nuclear weapon”, while expressing hope to attack an agreement soon, these comments from Aragchi came out.
On Thursday, Aragchi focused that he told “Media speculation” that the two sides were close to an agreement, saying they were not sure “the contract was” asanan “.
Iran has discussed a five rounds in search of a new deal with the United States to change the deal with major powers, which Trump has abandoned during his first term in 2018.
No date or venue has been announced for the next round yet, but Aragchi said Wednesday that he was expected to announce the “next few days” by mediator Oman.
Both governments contradict Iran’s uranium enrichment program, which Washington has said should be eliminated, but which insists that the Nuclear non -proliferation agreement is right.
Very good conversation
However, Trump said Wednesday that “we are having some good talks with Iran”, adding that he has warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against attacking his nuclear facilities because it will not be “appropriate”.
Israel has repeatedly threatened military action after ending the Iranian air defense during two fire exchange last year.
Trump has not denied military action but has said he wants a place to make a deal first, and has also said that Israel, and not the United States, will take the lead in any such strike.
Trump adopted a “maximum pressure” policy against Tehran after abandoning the 2015 deal, and resolved sanctions on Iran in exchange for non -surveillance sanctions on Iran’s nuclear activities.
Iran respected the deal for a year, but then it began to return its compliance with its terms.
After that, Iran has developed the largest reservoir of the highly enriched uranium of any state without nuclear weapons.
Uranium is up to 60 % enrichment.
In recent times, Tehran has said that if an agreement has been reached, it may consider US inspectors to join the teams by complying with the UN’s nuclear watchdog to comply with its terms.
Nuclear Chief Mohammad Eslami said Iran would consider accepting US inspectors through the (IAEA) agency “if” an agreement has been reached and Iran’s demands will be taken into account. “
