QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly on Monday condemned a suicide attack on the Army Public School bus in Khazar, condemning a resolution as a cowardly, brutal and inhuman act. In this resolution, the attack has been deliberately tried to bring a brutal attack on the nation’s future and sabotage peace and education in Pakistan.
The resolution was jointly presented by National Party MPA Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch and opposition leader Mir Younus Aziz Zahri, who strongly condemned the May 21 attack, claiming the lives of eight innocent students and several other civilians, while many were left injured.
The resolution said, “This brutal process was not only a cruelty against unarmed children, but also a malicious conspiracy to target Pakistan’s youth, national integrity, and the pursuit of knowledge and peace.” The Assembly demanded immediate action from the provincial government to bring justice to the criminals and their facilitators.
During the debate, opposition leader Younus Aziz Zahri called on authorities to arrest the people behind the attack on school children and their personnel. He criticized the Prime Minister’s short visit to the province, and called it inadequate in the context of such a serious tragedy.
Zamrak Khan Achakzai, engineer of the Awami National Party, expressed regret over the lack of implementation of the National Action Plan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and emphasized that peace, not a weapon, is the real solution. He demanded a briefing on the camera about law and order.
The attack has exposed the absence of a state writ and poor security situation throughout the province, the National Party said. Chief Minister Mina Majid’s adviser said that the schoolchildren were deliberately targeted and was presented with evidence accusing them of Indian support for terrorist networks operating in Balochistan.
Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Mir Zahoor Municipal said that terrorism has no religion or ideology and has claimed that the attack can go to India, which has been alleged that it is trying to remove Pakistan’s development. He praised the role of the security forces and vowed to resist terrorism.
PMLN MPA Zark Khan Mandokhel said targeting children was a failed attempt to destabilize Balochistan, and demanded an alliance against those who misled people. BAP’s Farah Azim Shah said the Khosadar attack proved that Indian -backed terrorists were active in the province. He called on the government to present a Pakistan case globally and demanded India a threat to regional peace.
PMLN Parliamentary Leader and Provincial Minister Mir Saleem Khosa has described the attack as one of the most heartbreaking incidents in the history of Balochistan. He said that the martyrdom of children has exposed the hollow stories of separatist elements and confirmed that terrorists have no faith or humanity.
PPP MPA Haji Ali Madad Jatak said the world now knows that Pakistan’s enemy invaders have moved to targeting children from the borders. He said that the financiers through India will not be able to shake the country’s resolve.
Maulana Headet -ur -Rehman, MPA of Haq Du Tahrik, stressed that the protection of the citizens is a constitutional responsibility, while provincial education minister Raheel Hameed Durrani, who visited the injured students at CMH, said his condition was deeply disturbing and it was hoped.
Shahida Rauf of Joy called the attackers a cowardly enemy, who deliberately targeted the children. The end of this house unanimously adopts a resolution of condemnation, praying for the martyrs, early recovery of the wounded, and lasting peace in the province.
