LAHORE: India has deliberately maintained severe tensions with Pakistan in achieving a controversial regional force in South Asia.
India’s strategic interests are often presented through internal instability within Pakistan. The militant groups working inside the country have been against the state from time to time, forcing Pakistani military and security apparatus to divert resources inside.
Under the deception that Pakistan was suffering from internal threats, there was a lack of bandwidth for strategic engagement, India understood its neighbor’s military capability. This illusion was scattered during the recent dispute, when Pakistan responded to health, which showed technical ability and operational capacity.
Pakistan continues to express their desire for peaceful relations with India – but on the terms described by force. The main part of this position is in the economic fitness of its population.
In the long -term interest of any country, it is rare to destabilize a neighbor with nuclear weapons. Despite internal threats, Pakistan’s army has preserved its power, especially on its eastern front. India has never found the luxury to ignore this fact. The attacks that target Pakistani civilians and military personnel, especially children – have given rise to public support for the armed forces, which has strengthened their influence on both domestic and foreign policy, including the country’s position on India.
Pakistan has taken numerous operations to eliminate militant networks and re -claim internal stability. Some analysts argue that it has enabled the military to re -engage in India, including India.
Although India has enjoyed the short -term strategic recovery during Pakistan’s internal war on terror, long -term regional peace and economic integration have occupied a stable and moderate Pakistan.
Given this context, Pakistan’s political parties should unite to prioritize economic recovery. The Indian media has already called on its government to keep Pakistan engaged in border conflicts so that it continues to continue the economic pressure. The current economic climate is demanding to demand focused governance and constructive opposition. Pakistanis should be vigilant, but Indian soapy should not be provocative through adultery.
The country’s economic challenges can be solved by the distribution of resources on a large scale. This is not time for political sports. The government should remove the compromised credentials – regardless of whether the allegations have been proven – and submit a clean, capable team of local experts. With an economic basis, the political leadership will have a better position to counter India’s diplomatic tactics.
Pakistan’s industrial sector has been strictly forced by poor government policies. Now it requires convenience and help to regain competitiveness. A capable and honest economic team will have to guide efforts to revive the industry. However, businesses should not expect inappropriate concessions or subsidies.
With inflation, interest rates remained in the last six months, and a stable money, the government has a conducive economic environment for implementation of reforms. A pressure problem is irregularities in the import of yarn: Exporters are exempt from sales tax on imported yarn, but when buying a domestic manufactured yarn, they face taxes. Due to this, the sale of local yarn has decreased, which is now about 50 % of the total fabric production.
In addition, some dishonest exporters are exploiting this detection-buying local yarn, while claiming to use high-cost imported yarn, thus distorted the market. Since there is no procedure to confirm the origin of used yarn, this process is unorganized. The only viable solution is to impose sales tax on import yarn, which can ensure the level of playground.
