ISLAMABAD: The government said that the National Assembly was set up on June 19, 2023, and the Council of Special Investment Facility was established and about $ 2.3 billion MI influys was recorded by the State Bank of Pakistan from July, 2023 to June 2024.

In a written reply to Taera Aurangzeb’s question, the Ministry of Claimat Change Environment Harmony told the National Assembly that Pakistan was ranked first in the list of most affected countries in 2022, according to a report by the German Watch. With more than 1,700 deaths across Pakistan and about 7.6 million people migrate. The total loss and losses were about $ 30 billion.
Responding to a question of the Minister of State for Climate and Environmental Harmony Dr. Shizra Mansab, Rafik Mahisa said that Pakistan has launched a million worth of program to overcome the serious effects of the melting of glaciers. He told the National Assembly’s question time, that the program includes installation of initial warning systems, local community training, and infrastructure development to help reduce the effects of the floods from the glacier melting.
He said that more than 24 flagship projects have been identified in the Indus Basin, which aims to restore the degraded ecosystem, increase the recharge of groundwater, and improve water safety for agriculture. He said that provincial governments are implementing land with the protection of Valley in Sindh, water shed restoration in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and improving irrigation performance in Punjab and Balochistan. The program also includes timely suggestions for Rabbi and Kharif crops to support the agricultural sector.
In a written reply to a question by Sharmila Frooki, Information Technology and Telecommunications Minister Shaza Fatima Khwaja told the House that the UN World Cyber Security Index 2024 has been ranked in Pakistan as well as countries like Singapore, USA, Japan, Australia, etc.
As part of the reporting process to the ITU, headed by Mutt & T, a detailed list of government and other stakeholders was shared with the ITU. These include recent legislation, policies, regulations, capabilities efforts, establishment of the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT) and other reforms, which led to the development of cyber security ecosystem in Pakistan. As a result, Pakistan’s place has been determined in the upper level of the World Cyber Security Index (GCI).
In response to the reply, Dr. Shazia Sobia Aslam Soomro, Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that a total of 20,711 IT/ITES companies are registered with the Pakistan Software Export Board.
