Pakistan Tehreek-A-A-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Monday clearly rejected media reports, claiming that the former ruling party was planning to bring confidence motive against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and National Assembly Speaker Sardar Aiz Sadiq.
Talking to reporters, the PTI chairman said: “The news about bringing any trust motion without PTI is wrong.” He maintained that the party -based party from Khan has not made any decision on a non -confidence movement against the government.
He made it clear, “No trust motion is on our agenda nor on the cards.” The PTI founder said there was no meeting on his no -confidence movement.
On a light note, the PTI chairman remarked: “There is a ceasefire with India, one should be one too.”
Earlier today, reports were circulating on the mainstream and social media that the former ruling party was considering hosting the motives of non -confidence against Prime Minister Shahbaz and NA speaker in collaboration with opposition allies.
According to PTI sources, his legal team, and his sisters, were actively discussed during a recent meeting between PTI founder Imran Khan and his sisters, the idea of a non -confidence movement against the speaker.
The PTI founder was briefed about the opposition alliance’s stance, including Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the leader of the Pakhtunnahi Milli Party, who has not publicly trusted the current speaker.
Sources further claimed that the PTI founder has directed the party leadership and its affiliated opposition parties to move forward with the movement of the movement, and have given them full authority to implement the strategy when time is right. The party’s internal sources also quoted the PTI founder as saying that the present government should be challenged both inside and outside Parliament.
Meanwhile, NA Speaker Sadiq expressed confidence that many PTI legislators would not support the proposed movement against them.
During an informal conversation with journalists in Islamabad, the NA speaker said that the “friends” who wanted to bring a movement against them could move forward.
He added, “I have heard that a motion of mistrust is being brought against me.”
Talking to journalists today, Sadiq said: “As a speaker, I take care of everyone. I am satisfied and my behavior as a speaker is clear to everyone.”
He added that even if any trust movement was presented, his own people would not support it.
Opposing the ideology of a non -confidence movement in the backdrop of the recent Pakistan India war, the NA speaker said that an atmosphere of national unity has been established in the present situation.
Paying a great tribute to the armed forces, the NA speaker said that those who had their lives were their “real hero” to defend their lives and defend their homeland.
They maintained that they have shown the enemy that the entire nation is united to defend the country.
‘No trust motion to expose the actual power of the opposition’
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the former ruling party has aggravated the motivations against the NA Speaker and the Prime Minister without any trust.
Talking to Geo News at Parliament House, he said: “If the opposition wants to bring a no -confidence movement against the government or the speaker, they are free to do so.”
The Defense Minister said that the small political credibility that the opposition had left will also come out.
He added, “If a movement could be brought against the current speaker, then he should have been brought against Assad Qaiser when he was the speaker.”
The minister believed that the PTI was trying to pressure the government to get relief to its founder.
In response to a question, he said that there was an “exemplary cooperation” between the government and the establishment at that time.
‘Two goals’
Commenting on the matter, senior PTI leader and former Speaker Asad Qaiser confirmed today that both the Prime Minister and the Speaker were considered as a target of motions without confidence.
“We are considering this option,” he said. “Due to Pakistan India tensions, we have been temporarily back down. If we move now, it can be seen as a politics of national crisis.”
Qaiser added that the option of trust without confidence would be used “at the appropriate time” and reiterated that both positions were under scrutiny by the Prime Minister and the Speaker-Hizb-e-Islami camp.
