Kiev: Ukrainian President Wolodmeer Zelannsky has asked his US counterpart Donald Trump to help arrange a direct meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while the Russian leader has accused him of not seeking serious war.
Zillski believes that the conversation in front is the key to ending the war.
Zlinski said in Kiev that if the Putin leaves the meeting, the West should impose large -scale sanctions, and emphasized that he will “make” everything possible and secure the ceasefire.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be in the US delegation in talks in Istanbul, which “can yield some good results,” said Trump in Riyadh when he started his four -day Middle East.
The Kremlin has refused to say whether Putin will travel to Turkey, when he himself proposed Russia – Ukraine spoke in the Kremlin address at the weekend.
“This is his war,” Zilnsky said, so, negotiations should be with him. “
Any meeting between Russian and Ukrainian officials will be the first direct talks after Moscow’s February 2022 attack.
Trump came to power in January promising to end the war, but he is rapidly disappointed that he sees as a failure to compromise on Qi and Moscow’s bloodshed.
Trump said Monday that he was “thinking” about going to the talks.
“I do not know the US president’s decision, but if he confirms his participation, I think it will give an extra motivation to come to Putin,” Zlinski told a press conference.
‘The strongest’ restrictions
“Putin does not want the war to end, does not want a ceasefire, no negotiation,” Zillsky said.
Russian airstrikes killed two people in the Kharkio, Ukraine, on the Russian border, officials said.
Zlinski urged the United States to put Russia with its “strong” sanctions unless it should make sanctions a potion – saying that the denial “would be a clear indication that he does not want and will not end the war”.
A Putin spokesman declined to say who would send Moscow to the talks.
‘D Nazfaqi’
Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ribkov said Russia will use dialogue to address the “basic reasons” of the “main reasons” of its important purposes and conflicts.
Kiev and the West reject these stories, and occupy the Russian invasion of royalties.
Putin proposes Russia when Kiev and European countries urged Moscow to agree with a 30 -day complete and unconditional 30 -day ceasefire, which began on Monday.
Tens of thousands of people have been killed and millions have been forced to flee their homes since Russia invaded Ukraine, while Moscow’s army now controls a fifth of the country-including the peninsula, which was pending in 2014.
Putin does not ‘dare’
Russia did not clearly respond to the leaders of Ukraine and France, Britain, Germany and Poland, demanding Moscow agree to a 30 -day ceasefire, though the Kremlin blasted European “ultimatus” when it was clearly rejected.
German Chancellor Frederick Mirz warned Russia on Tuesday that if he did not have a “real progress” towards peace in Ukraine this week, he would face fresh European sanctions, as he urged Putin to meet Zilinski.
French President Emmanuel Macron said that if Moscow does not agree with a 30 -day ceasefire, Europe will impose new sanctions.
The European Union has imposed 16 round sanctions on Russia since Putin invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
“Ukraine people have a clear view, saying that they do not have the capacity to recover everything from 2014,” said Macron, who has devised a passionate relationship with Zilnski.
The European Union’s top diplomat Kaja Kalas asked if Putin has the nerves to show.
“I think that if they sit down, this is a good move,” Callas told the Democracy Conference in Copenhagen. “But I don’t think he dares, Putin.”
Zlinski said he would meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday or Thursday and is ready to meet Putin there or in Istanbul.
Russian and Ukrainian officials held talks in Istanbul in March 2022, which was aimed at stopping the conflict, but did not make any agreement.
