Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif appealed for solidarity on Wednesday, after which he called the spotless attack in India, saying that the Pakistani army had achieved severe success.
Addressing a session of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister said that in the darkness of the night, India tried to enter Pakistan like in the past, but with the grace of Allah Almighty and with the prayer and support of the nation, the brave armed forces responded to them properly.
In this cowardly attack, at least 26 people lost their lives, including women and children.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has reports of airstrikes by Rafael Combat aircraft, and that 240 million people from all over the country and the country should be proud that its armed forces are ready to counter the attack and end the warplanes.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sudhu from the entire nation and parliament for his vigilance and impressive leadership.
He said that last night, India tried to attack 80 warplanes at six different places inside Pakistan, including AJK, Bahawalpur, Shukargarh and Sialkot. However, Pakistan Air Force jets shot five aircraft, including three Rafale jets, one of which crashed in the bathroom – as well as several drones.
He said, “This reaction left the enemy in indifference and gave them the realization of Pakistan’s power, ability and power as a nuclear state, and it has talked to them of sleep. Our armed forces are a strong force in a war.”
He said that Pakistan’s jets were fully prepared and they had also jammed the communications system of Indian warplanes, and forced them to return to Srinagar.
The Prime Minister further said that the entire nation deserves congratulations on this great victory, as the armed forces responded with professionalism and patriotism, worked in unity after careful consultation and planning. He added that even more Indian aircraft can be brought down.
He invited all political parties, including the opposition PTI lawmakers, to fully support the efforts to unite and make Pakistan strong and unacceptable.
Shahbaz said he was ready to meet opposition leaders in his chamber, adding that it was a moment to show the world that Pakistan was united.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has irreparable evidence of India’s involvement in the Balochistan train hijack incident, which fully supported terrorist organizations like BLA and TTP. In the attack, many innocent people lost their lives, and many others were injured. The SSG, with its professionalism, saved the hostages and shifted them to safety.
He added, “India did not condemn the incident but made fun of it which will be remembered with notorious words in history.”
The Prime Minister further informed the House that he had talked to several world leaders about the growing situation.
He said that during his visit to Kakul, he had clearly stated that Pakistan had nothing to do with the incident and even offered to form an international commission to investigate the matter transparently and credible – a offer refused to accept India.
Shahbaz also suggested that the National Assembly adopt a resolution to recognize military leadership services in defense of the country.
At his request, the House offered a prayer for the martyr, who lost his life in the Indian attack, demanding his high places in Jinnah.
