Seoul: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered Navy ships to be equipped with nuclear weapons, on Wednesday, when Pyongyang fired the first test of a new warship weapons system.
This weekend, Pyongyang unveiled a 5,000 tonnes of distortion class ship named Chu Haven, his new warship, about which some analysts said they were likely to be equipped with a short distance with tactical nuclear missiles.
The state -run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Kim monitored the first day of the devastating two -day weapons test.
He then ordered the officials to work on “accelerating the Navy’s nuclear weapons”.
North Korea has already said that the ship was equipped with the “most powerful weapons”, and it “will enter work early next year”.
Experts have said that in view of its size, the warship is believed to carry both surface and air missiles from the ship.
The KCNA said Tuesday’s test was “ship -by -on -driven weapons, a variety of ship -based automatic guns and smoke and electronic jamming guns, including new scenes.
On Monday, on Monday, Pyongyang also tested its “superstar cruise missiles, strategic cruise missiles, anti -aircraft missiles and 127 mm ship -based automated guns.”
Kim said the country’s ship -based firepower system was “effectively mixed”, which included “Supernic cruise missiles, strategic cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles.”
The Seoul’s Ministry of Defense said it was “closely detected and monitoring the North Korean military shipbuilding and development trends in collaboration with the United States.”
Pyongyang’s announcement came for the first time a few days after confirming this when he deployed troops to Russia to support Moscow in his war in Ukraine.
Moscow also said Saturday that North Korean troops “provided significant support to defeat the Ukrainian Armed Forces group”.
Some analysts say it seems that Pyongyang has obtained some weapons from Moscow to equip his warships, possibly in exchange for the deployment of soldiers.
“It seems that North Korea has recently imported several modern weapons from Russia.”
He added that the North “has gathered them, and used them effectively to strengthen the internal alliance and promote military morale.”
Calls for less modernization
Official media reported on Saturday about the launch of Cho Hydon, showing Kim’s photos, including his daughter, who attended a ceremony with AE, which many experts considered to be his potential successor.
In March, Kim inspected a nuclear -powered submarine plan, and said that enhancing the Navy was an important part of “altogether” Pyongyang’s defense strategy.
At that time, Kim demanded the development of warplanes, including the country’s level and the underwater forces.
Pyongyang has claimed to have developed a drone of underwater nuclear attacks in recent years, which could remove the “radioactive tsunami”, but analysts have asked if he really has such a weapon?
The Washington-Sovol key security ally-has increased joint military exercises in recent years and has increased the presence of strategic US assets such as a plane carrier and nuclear-powered submarine in the region to prevent the north in the region.
Pyongyang has repeatedly declared himself a “non -refundable” nuclear weapons state and has commonly condemned the Joint US South Korean exercises as a routine.
“North Korea’s fastest nuclear weapons are thought to be mentioned by the fleet, referring to the better operational capabilities of nuclear and strategic missiles,” said Yang Mo Jin, president of the University of North Korean Studies in Seoul.
This week’s test highlights North Korea’s claim that its new scene is capable of blue water operations, he told AFP, often referring to naval missions away from its coastal waters in the country, in the open sea areas.
