Montreal: Canadian leaders campaigned in battlefields two days before US President Donald Trump’s threats, two days before Prime Minister Mark Karni assured voters to stand in Washington.
The victory for the Carney’s Liberal Party will mark one of the most dramatic way in Canada’s political history.
On January 6, the day the former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his plans to resign, his liberals surpassed the conservatives by more than 20 points in most elections, and Tory leader Perry Polytor was definitely visible Canada’s next premiere.
But in the weeks, Trump started a barrage of harsh -raedy policies, while repeatedly talked about absorbing Canada into the United States.
Angry Canadians have since promoted the US anthem in sports events and canceled US travel plans.
When Carney replaced the unpopular Trudeau on March 14, he intensified his message on Trump’s threats, and claimed that the United States “wants to break us, so he can be our own.” The 60 -year -old, who has never held an elected office but guides the central banks in Canada and the UK, has argued that his global financial experience makes him the ideal candidate for defending Canada against Trump’s ups and downs.
“President Trump’s taxes are a direct attack on Canadian residents and Canada, Carney said on Saturday.”
“During this campaign, Perry Polyur proved that he had no plans to stand with President Trump.”
Carney was crossing Ontario, an important province in Ontario on Saturday, which built five stops in communities near Toronto, which had previously sworn between liberal and conservatives.
He will close this day with a rally in Windsor – Canada’s auto industry center was severely affected by Trump’s prices.
The Trump Factor and the Trudeau for Carni exchange, a 45-year-old, has been in parliament for two decades.
But the conservative leader has tried to focus on issues that led to the liberals in power during the decade of Trudeau, especially the cost of growing life.
He was campaigning in Vancouver, the west coast on Saturday, ahead of the Syrian rally in Ontario.
He set the elections as a choice between “more careless loans and mounting expenses with Mark Carni”, or changed by the conservative government that “will reduce taxes, build strong economy and bring low home prices.”
Polytor has also criticized Trump, but has accused Liberals of poor economic performance under the liberals of leaving Canada in US protection.
Pauls offer a liberal government, but the race has been tightened in the last days.
Public broadcaster CBC pool collectors have given the liberals a national lead of seven to eight points at various locations, but on Friday they supported 42.5 % liberal, with Touris at 38.7.
An important factor that can help liberals is the decorative number for new left -wing Democrats and separatist block cubicox.
In the last election, strong support for these parties has stopped liberal seats in the key provinces of British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec.
Of the 28.9 million eligible voters in Canada, 7.3 million in the Easter Week end in the opening belt, which is an increase of 25 % compared to 2021.
Montreal’s voter Nithali Terbeli told AFP that these elections are “definitely more important” than past elections because “everything is happening in the United States.”
Simon Pierre Lipine, 49, told AFP that he was worried about “10 -year back tracking” under Liberals, which he accused of “drowning in a financial hole”.
For McGill University’s political scientist Daniel Belland, the conservative efforts of “changing the subject of campaign” away from Trump failed to a great extent.
A political analyst, Tim Powers, agreed that a surprising “strange campaign” was not what Touris wanted.
He hoped that “there would be more debate about cheapness and all the things he was scoring points,” he said, “he imagined a campaign where Justin Trudeau would oppose it.” The winner should go for hours after the pool is closed on Monday.
