LAHORE: Daryl Mitchell performed a wonderful performance after a significant bowling spell to guide Lahore Qalandars in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at the imprisonment Stadium on Saturday.
Qalandars chased a difficult target of 186 runs, with five wickets and six balls left.
The house team suffered an initial shock when opener Mohammad Naeem left for only six runs, Josh Little scored only 12 runs on the board in the second over.
Healing with the initial shock, Fakhr Zaman and Abdullah Shafik added 33 for the second wicket before Mohammed Hussein immediately made the power play. Later removed Fakhr. Fakhr scored 28 runs in a 22 -run supply, which hit three fours and two sixes.
After that, Abdullah participated in a 49 -run stand with Daryl Mitchell to keep Qalandar’s chase on the track. However, Obaid Shah jerked the hosts by two fast wickets, which dismissed Shafik and Sam Billings-the latter for three balls-an important 12th over.
Shafik’s innings included two fours and two sixes in 34 off 25 balls.
Qalandars was under pressure at 95/4 in 12 overs, but Mitchell and Alexander Raza turned the game with an 89 -run sneaky partnership for the fifth wicket, and put the hosts at a distance of victory.
Mitchell scored the highest score with 38 balls with 38 balls for the carpet, tied with four fours and four sixes, before falling into it.
Meanwhile, Raza was unbeaten, and he operated his home home with only 40 to 40 delivery, including two fours and four sixes.
For the Sultans, Obaid Shah stood with two wickets, while Mohammad Hassanin, Akif Javed, and Josh Little entered with one wicket each.
Earlier, captain Mohammad Rizwan led the front with a brilliant knock while Kamran Ghulam strongly supported when Multan Sultans posted a competitive 185/3 against Lahore Qalandars.
Visitors made a cautious start before opener Yasir Khan broke a speedy injection, broke one six and four before falling into a sharp delivery, which ended the initial stand.
Yasir immediately supported 24 balls, which targeted three boundaries and more.
Rizwan then sewed two small partnerships – first with Usman Khan and then with Shi Hoop – who participated with 18 and nine balls with nine balls respectively and nine balls with 18 balls.
With a scoreboard at 70/3 in 10.1 overs, Kamran Ghulam joined Rizwan in the crease, and the pair stabilized the innings with a stable and aggressive unbeaten 115 runs.
Rizwan scored the highest score with an unbeaten 76 76 balls, including six boundaries and three sixes, while Ghulam supported a brilliant support with 52 outout of 31 balls, including two fours and four sixes.
For Qalandars, Tom Corn, Herson and Daryl Mitchell can face one wicket.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars had decided to land in the first field after winning the toss against the Multan Sultans.
