Defense experts have expressed skepticism over the Phalgam attack in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where 26 tourists, including an Navy officer, were killed, and it is suspected that it is an important act by India to deceive the people.
At least 17 people were injured in firing in the Besaran Valley in the Pahalgam area on Tuesday. The dead included 25 Indians and a Nepalese citizen, police said.
It was the worst attack on civilians in India since the 2008 Mumbai firing, and a relative in the IIOJK was at peace, where tourism is on the rise as an anti -Indian insurgency, in recent years the new tab has ended.
Defense analyst, Brigadier (Retd) Ahmed Saeed Minhas, condemned the Indian media of accusing Pakistan of accusing Pakistan of without any evidence, pointing out that the attack was 400 km from IIOJK.
Talking to Geo News, Brigade Minhas cited India’s past response, citing that Pakistan had safely stopped Indian pilot Abywind in 2019 and showed great prevention.
Another analyst, Brigadier (Retd) Rashid Wali, also raised questions about India’s point of view, noting that propaganda against Pakistan immediately of the attack. Later, the Indian media spread baseless claims.
He warned, “If India tries to take any action, it may be ashamed of the Blucot incident.”
Former Senator, Mushahid Hussain Syed, who is also an experienced foreign affairs expert, condemned the process of jumping India to blame Pakistan after terrorist incidents in India or IIOJK.
He termed it an “automatic response” by the Indian government and said that such actions, such as the Jaffar Express attack and now the Pahalgam incident, are usual in India’s usual change.
Commenting on the allegations of India, National Security Expert Syed Muhammad Ali said that the alleged “false flag operation” of New Delhi works to discredit Islam, Pakistan and Kashmir people, withdrawing from domestic affairs.
He also pointed out that India was trying to reduce international pressure on trade issues, especially with the United States.
On Wednesday, Pakistan expressed concern over the loss of lives in an attack in the Indian Pahalgam area, in which illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) claimed the lives of 26 people.
In response to media questions, Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan said that the incident was saddened by Pakistan and expressed sympathy with the deceased’s family.
“We are concerned about the loss of tourist lives in the attack in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir,” the spokesman said.
“We condole with the people near the deceased and wish to recover the injured.”
A small famous group, “Kashmir Resistance”, claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media message. He expressed dissatisfaction that more than 85,000 “external” region had settled in the region, which created “population change”.
India canceled the special status of Kashmir in 2019, which divided the state into two Federally Administered Territories – Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
The move allowed local authorities to issue domicile rights to the foreigners, which allow them to get jobs and buy land in the disputed Himalayan area. As a result, relations with Pakistan deteriorated. The conflict has promoted bitter enmity and military conflict between nuclear armed neighbors.
Tourist targets in iiojk have been very few. The last deadly incident took place in June 2024 when at least nine people were killed and 33 were injured after the attack, which left a Hindu pilgrimage in a deep valley on a bus.
Reacting to the incident, Prime Minister Modi said: “His bad agenda will never succeed. Our commitment to fight terrorism is unwavering and it will be even stronger.”
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump called on Modi to “provide full support to India to bring justice to the perpetrators of this abominable attack”.
Other foreign leaders, including the European Union chief Arsola Van Deer Lein, also condemned the attack.
