Karachi Kings vice captain and Pakistan’s leading high -speed expert Hassan Ali has attributed a tough food discipline and rehabilitation in the form of fitness routine, saying that cutting sugar and fried foods has changed its energy level and performance.
In an exclusive interview with Geo News, the vice -captain of the Karachi Kings opened about the changes in the lifestyle, which helps him regain peak fitness before the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
Hassan, 30, revealed that he reduced the amount of diabetes from 70 % to 80 % and minimized the food in the last six months.
“In Pakistan, everyone eats fried, and we have a lot of oil and sugar in our food,” he said. “But international players focus on organic and fresh foods. I made this adjustment, and the difference is very high, I feel more power in the field, and I don’t feel cheap in my daily routines, I feel fresh.”
Hassan was once known for his Foods Group with several team colleagues, “Bread Gang”, when asked if food discipline means that he had eliminated the bread gang, Hassan said that would never happen.
“No, the bread gang didn’t end – it’s eternal!” He said. However, he emphasized the moderation, saying that eating discipline has been the key to its better performance.
Hassan blamed tough sessions at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) under the guidance of Pakistan’s coaching staff as responsible for its technical improvement.
He explained, “I identified the flaws in my bowling, worked on my basic things, and edited it, or re -created some things.” “At the same time, I focused on the management of my diet and injury, which collectively had a huge impact.”
The National T20 Cup and the PSL faced strong performances of their efforts, and was re -established as a leading fast bowler.
Right -wing pacer, who debuted with Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL as an emerging player, called the league a “game changer” for Pakistani cricket.
“PSL is a huge brand that has created many players,” he said. “Domestic cricket created my foundation, and PSL polished me. From the beginning and playing against high international stars, playing against my international cricket.”
He emphasized the importance of domestic cricket for those who are in favor of the players, remembering how they fought their way back to the national team through a strong first -class performance.
“When you are dropped, domestic cricket is your only way,” he said. “I’m going through this stage, and this is the place where you prove yourself again.”
As vice -captain of Karachi Kings, Hassan said he was learning from Captain David Warner but was open to his guidance in the future.
“If I ever consider captaincy, I hug him with both hands,” he said. “Right now, I’m getting valuable experience under Warner’s leadership.”
The fans have also seen a more structured Hassan Ali, which was usually very pleasant in the field and outside, this season- a change that causes the responsibilities included as a senior player and father of two daughters.
“Over time, you are ready,” he said. “I still enjoy fun moments, but as a senior player and vice captain, I understand the need for professionalism. The father has also made me more responsible.”
Despite a personal milestone, Hassan said the team’s success in PSL 10 remains their priority.
“Every player has individual goals, I also want to be the best bowler, but the team’s performance is the most important,” he said.
With the increase in Pakistan’s next international assignments, Hassan’s purpose is to take his PSL form into national duties.
He stressed, “I am away from the age of 30.” “I want to contribute more and more in Pakistan, but I know the choice depends on performance. My job is to continue.”
