BEIJING: China on Monday issued a warning to countries to trade agreements with the United States at its expense, pledging to fight against those who “agree” in Washington -splashing tariff war because its neighbors hurry to secure favorable terms from the White House.
Although the rest of the world has been hit by a blanket 10 % tariff, China faces up to 145 % revenue on many products. Beijing responds with 125 % duties on US goods.
Parallel to Washington’s full trade war against top economic rivals China, many countries are now busy negotiating with the United States to reduce prices.
Seoul said that South Korean finance minister and trade ministers-a major exporter of the United States-will have high trade talks in Washington this week.
South Korean giants such as Samsung Electronics and Automacker Hyundi pushed the White House forward with its risky Levies, and stands to hit a heavy hit.
Japanese Prime Minister Shigro Esba said on Saturday that talks between Japan and the United States could prove to be a “model for the world”, when Tuk Tariff’s envoy to Russian Akazawa visited Washington and met President Donald Trump last week.
“The fact is that President Trump came out (to talk with Japan’s envoy) […] Shoes he considers talks with Japan important, “he told the country’s parliament on Monday.
“Japan is his ally and the largest investor and job creator in the United States,” said Ashiba.
Tokyo and Washington are going to talk more soon – but the Japanese Prime Minister also said that substance is more important than speed.
“They [the US] Not in a hurry and we think it is wasted quickly. Local media have quoted the same as saying that instead of how soon they will move forward, how fast they will move forward.
Reports suggest that as a privilege for Trump, Japan can increase US soybean and rice imports, or relax car safety standards.
But Ashiba said on Monday, “These are cars or agricultural products, we will not do anything that can affect safety.”
No peace with being satisfied
US Vice President JD Venus also arrived in India for a four -day official visit on Monday as the two countries work to terminate the trade agreement.
The same day came the same day when Beijing warned the nations not to agree with the United States, which compromised its interests.
“Being satisfied will not be peaceful, and the compromise will not be respected,” a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said.
Beijing said, “At the cost of the interests of others, looking for your temporary selfish interests is to look for a lion soon.”
This view warned, “eventually fails on both ends and will hurt others”.
The spokesman said, “China strongly oppose any party to reach an agreement at the expense of China’s interests.”
He added, “If such a situation comes, China will never accept it and will fully fight mutual.”
Washington-Beijing Conversations
China’s US Stand -off has given rise to markets in fear and beating of global recession.
Trump said last week that the United States was negotiating revenue with China, adding that he believed he believed the world’s largest economies could agree to end the bitter trade war.
“Yes, we’re talking to China,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office. “I would say that they have arrived several times.”
“I think we are going to make a good deal with China,” he said in the White House.
China has vowed to fight the trade war “by the end” and has not confirmed a specific dialogue with Washington, though it has demanded dialogue.
Talking to his Indonesian counterpart in Beijing on Monday, the top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi called for “openness, involvement, mutual benefit and victory” and condemned “any form of unilateral and trade protection”.
He warned that “misuse of prices would seriously damage the general economic and trade exchange between the countries.”
The Beijing Ministry of Commerce also warned of an international order returning to the “law of the jungle”.
As part of Trump’s trade war, the US government has also reduced the doorstep that requires people to process formal entry through US Customs 1 from $ 2,500 from April 1 to 5. Up to 800.
Trump’s government has taken a special purpose of China, and earlier this month, Washington closed duty -free exemptions for smaller parcels from the country, a move that was designed to target low -cost online retailers like tamo and sheen.
In a statement in response, Global Shipping Dev Dev DHL said it would “temporarily” shipping the shipping of more than $ 800 parcels from a business in the United States by Monday.
