The progress was announced after a high -level meeting in Islamabad between the United Arab Emirates Minister for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
According to the United Arab Emirates state news agency, WAM, the agreements include the establishment of a joint consular affairs committee and the pledges to strengthen cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Moreover, an agreement was exchanged for the establishment of the Pakistan Joint Business Council of the United Arab Emirates, which is expected to promote economic and trade partnerships.
The MoU for the Business Council was exchanged between the United Arab Emirates Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri and the President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Atif Ekram Sheikh.
The meeting was attended by prominent officials, including the United Arab Emirates Minister Ahmad Bin Ali Elig, Assistant Minister for Energy and Stability Abdullah Balala, and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Al -Azhabi.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his commitment to further enhance the United Arab Emirates-Pakistan relations, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to support the development priorities of the two countries.
“The United Arab Emirates and Pakistan share a longtime friendship, and we are dedicated to seeking opportunities for cooperation in various fields,” he said.
The United Arab Emirates DPM said he was happy with hospitality during his visit to Pakistan.
Expressing satisfaction at the current pace of bilateral relations, he said the leadership of the two countries wanted to further strengthen relations.
Earlier, welcoming the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DPM Dar said that the two countries shared a decades -old brotherly relationship associated with mutual commitment, love and love.
He added that the two countries are working together for the benefit and welfare of their people.
Sheikh Abdullah’s visit came when Abu Dhabi Wali Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Pakistan in February, during which the two countries signed five agreements to enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including banking, railway, mining and basic construction investment.
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have a great history of bilateral relations spreading to several sectors and domains, in which a large number of Pakistani residences in the Gulf country, which have recently enabled Pakistani citizens to obtain a five -year visa.
Prime Minister Shahbaz to raise Pak-Europe relations
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reaffirmed a strong desire to raise the best political relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, which is in the mutual economic partnership during the visit of the United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
An official statement states that the DPM of the United Arab Emirates, who was on an official visit to Islamabad, demanded the Prime Minister in the Prime Minister’s House.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister confirmed the shared history, mutual respect as well as strong cultural and economic relations, deep -rooted brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
He congratulated the United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the ruler of Abu Dhabi to the United Arab Emirates and praised the United Arab Emirates for the continued support of Pakistan in diverse fields.
Expressing satisfaction over the positive pace of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Prime Minister Shahbaz emphasized the need to enhance trade, investment, energy and cooperation with the people in relations with the people.
In addition to bilateral relations, regional situation and global progress were also discussed during the meeting.
Sheikh Abdullah praised the Pakistani community’s contribution to the United Arab Emirates and reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’s commitment to deepen bilateral relations and seek new ways of mutual cooperation.
Pakistan, Rwanda strengthens relations
In addition, Pakistan and Rwanda pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, including trade, defense, technology and diplomacy, to form a mutual beneficial partnership and exploit the current development capabilities.
Bilateral relations and Rwanda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Olivir Jean Patrick Noodhungaria discussed during the “deep” discussions, which was also on the first official visit to Pakistan until April 21-22.
After signing a delegation -level meeting in the diplomatic training sector and signing a reconciliation, the two Foreign Ministers expressed their satisfaction over strengthening bilateral relations.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to deepen mutual cooperation in priority sectors such as trade, investment, defense, diplomacy, and public exchange of public.
In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Dar said that Pakistan’s exports to pharmaceuticals, textiles, rice, surgical devices, agri tech, and sports equipment had strong potential in Rwanda.
Dar also said that Pakistan is looking forward to the continued engagement of Rwanda’s business, including the next Pakistan Africa Trade Development Conference and a single country exhibition in Addis Ababa in May 2025.
Meanwhile, Rwanda FMR Olivier JP Nadhungare said his country’s exports to Pakistan were $ 26 million and expressed his desire to find joint ventures. Pakistan’s exports to Rwanda in the trade, industry and health sectors were about $ 100 million.
Emphasizing bilateral cooperation in tourism and sports, especially cricket because the game was very popular on both sides, Nadhangiri said the two countries have sought to work together in many areas like trade, investment, education and defense.
He also praised Pakistan’s contribution to finding a solution to the dispute over the African continent, while currently a non -permanent member of the UN Security Council.
