The Pakistan Department of Department (PMD) has issued a heatwave advisory, warning that in the next two days, parts of Sand, South Central Punjab, and Balochistan can remain 4 to 7 degrees Celsius from an average season.
This advice comes in most parts of the country while sharing heat, which gives little indication of any special relief in the future.
In Karachi, the situation is expected to be warm and humid over the next 24 hours. According to the PMD, the maximum temperature is likely to be between 35 ° C and 37 ° C, while the minimum temperature recorded was 24.5 ° C. The level of humidity has reached 84 %, and at a speed of 10 km / h, a moderate sea is currently offering limited delay.
Throughout the country, very high temperatures were recorded on Monday, Dadu, Mohenjo Daru, Nawabshah, and Pedden registered 47 ° C. Khairpur, Sibi, and Larkana saw the temperature of 46 ° C, while Rahim Yar Khan, score, Jacobabad, Matthew, and the script were recorded all 45 ° C. Karachi, Multan, and Dera Ismail Khan tested 40 ° C, while Peshawar and Muzaffarabad stood at 37 degrees Celsius, Islamabad 35 ° C, Quetta at 32 ° C, and 31 ° C.
In Jacobabad, one of the hottest cities in Asia, the ongoing heatwave has been complicated due to the worst power crisis. The power outage through Sipco (Score Electric Power Company) has moved beyond the official schedule, in some areas facing a burden of 14 to 16 hours a day, the 8 -hour announced schedule is doubled. This has disrupted the business, the price of snow has increased, and the stressful hospitals struggling to maintain care of patients.
In the score, where the temperature touched on Tuesday at 45 ° C and today it is expected to reach 46 ° C, residents are also railing under expanded load shedding. Urban areas are facing unpaid closure for eight hours, while in rural areas, scheduled blackouts are facing for 12 hours. Cepco accuses extension closures on highline losses, and noting that “A” category feeders are not affected.
The PMD’s meteorological expert Anjum Nazir Zigham explained that the heatwave was align with the average temperature forecast from April to June. He explained that the winter rainfall was lower than normal, and the shortage of snow in the mountains means that the cool air is not coming down, which is higher than the average temperature. Compared to last April, the temperature is already 4 ° C in many parts of Punjab and Sindh.
It is expected that a light rain system will bring in some parts of the north from April 11 to the rain and strong winds, including Islamabad, Punjab, KP, Gilgit Baltistan, Galit and AJK. North Balochistan (including Quetta and Zhob), as well as upper KP (Swat and Mangora) and southern Gilgit -Baltistan are also likely to be affected.
However, the temperature is expected to decrease – only 2 to 4 ° C, and for just a couple of days, Zigham warned.
The second Western wind system is presented around April 17, which can offer short relief once again before another possible heatwave hit the end of April.
Climate analyst Jawad Memon said two western wind systems are expected to affect the country this week. It is likely that the system will bring rainfall in the northern parts of the northern areas starting from April 13, with rainfall, which is predicted with strong winds and thunderstorms in different parts of Punjab from April 12. The plains of Punjab are also expected to face strong winds.
According to Memon, in Balochistan, rain is likely till April 11, Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Pishin, and Kale Saifullah have been forecast for moderate rainfall. Due to moderate intensity, this system can produce hail in some places.
However, in Sindh, severe heat is being predicted. It is expected that in the coming days, the temperature in the upper and central Sindh will be from 44 to 47 ° C, which is likely to be score, with severe heat in Jacobabad, Lakana and surrounding areas.
Memon also said that between April 10 and 12, clouds of storms could begin to fall on the Sindh coastal belt, including Karachi. Due to Gadap, Malir, and high humidity and ongoing heat on Thursday and Friday, thunderstorms can also be created locally on the suburbs of Karachi around the super highway.
In Lahore, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has also issued a heatwave alert, which is expected to increase the temperature 4 to 7 ° C this month.
According to the DGPDMA, the plains and districts of southern Punjab, especially in April, are at risk of experiencing severe and long heat waves.
The DGPDMA has advised the Department of School Education to suspend external activities for children to prevent them from heat -related diseases.
In addition, he emphasized that the necessary medicines should be readily available to the people affected by the heatwave.
Citizens are urged to avoid unnecessary travel, increase the amount of water and cover the heads.
