Despite the great interest in the game of cricket in Pakistan, Pakistan’s men’s cricket team is currently number 7 in the ICC Test rankings, 4 marks in ODIs and T20S number 7, while Pakistani women are just as impressive, as they are 10 marks in T20 rankings and number 8 in number 8.
The appeal of the cricketers in the country is so severe that despite poor ratings in the international circuit, they seek the tremendous support of the media, corporate and the government. In the absence of credible sports heroes in other sports, these cricketers have gained the status of dimensional deities in the eyes of the common people, thus their poor performances are easily forgiven and forgiven on one excuse or the other.
Critics provide various reasons for such unprofitable shows through professional players, which lack cricket infrastructure, neglect the merits in the selection process, neglect the instability of the team and the PCB rating, the shortcomings of the players and the shortcomings.
All the aforementioned factors are on our way to our fall in international cricket, but the main reason for our cricket destruction is more in the streets and streets, tapball cricket, which is currently working as a cricket nursery in the country due to lack of school cricket.
The absence of school cricket has also provided a way to the culture of “cricket academies”, where young and aspiring cricketers pay huge fees to achieve limited practice opportunities in crowd sessions. There are only some cricket academies in the country where young players face scientific coaching and organized training.
In the absence of a widespread coaching culture in the roots of the grass, players choose bad habits that go with them for a long time and dominate the players’ style game in later times.
During my personal search to find capable cricket academies and coaches, young cricketers who can teach the right basic principles and install good cricketing habits, I received a wonderful source called “Coaching Youth Cricket”. The 185 -page book, developed by the Australian Cricket Board, was published by the American Sports Education Program (ASEP).
Coaching Youth Cricket is a great tool for new and inexperienced coaches working with 6 to 14 years old. It helps to understand the basic principles of coaching, and the most effective ways to educate young players cricket skills and strategies.
We all understand that there is an interesting way to join youth coaching cricket. But that’s not easy. Most coaches are overwhelmed by the responsibilities involved in helping young players through their early sports experiences. And that’s not surprising, because coaching young people need to bring a group of youths to the net, stump and practice road maps without any development.
In fact, it involves providing them with a positive role model to compete in a technical, strategy, mentally and physically, fairly and safely, and safely. Considering the basic skills of cricket, the author said, “You play the role of a teacher to become a coach. You should teach your players the basic skills and strategies you need to succeed in cricket. This means that you need to go to school again.”
The book also illustrates a long debate that is continuing to be a great cricket player to become an effective coach, paping in Pakistani cricket circles? In response to this question, the author has clearly stated on page 36 of the book, “Many people think that the mere need to coach is to play the game. It is helpful to play, but more for coaching successfully.”
This valuable resources offers more than 50 modern and easy exercises that help team tactics and practice games as well as players’ skills that promote leadership and team sentiment. The book full of 154 helpful reflection covers such fields such as the role of coaches, effective communication in the game of cricket, and how to systematically introduce young players new skills.
Other topics include training methods, methods of identifying errors in techniques and correcting them, promoting leadership and team sentiment, sports science concepts, and basic first aid.
One of the most interesting aspects of the book is the introduction of “modified games” for young people from different ages groups. These games include all or most of the basic skills of batting, bowling, fielding and wicketkeeping. Suitable for the ages of 7 to 10 years, a modified game like “Double Chance”, “Paris Cricket” for the age of 10 to 12 years, “Diamond Cricket” and Kanga 8s for the age of 10 to 12 years.
“Coaching Youth Cricket” is not only a great source for cricket coaches, but is equally important and informative for parents, who want to take their ward cricket seriously. As a parent, your responsibility does not end by sending your children to the Cricket Academy or financing them to play.
As a parent, you have the right to know about the progress of your child, which is being sent to any cricket academy after paying a heavy fee. This is possible only when you teach yourself as a parent of a literate game so that you can play your role effectively.
The future of Pakistan cricket will be uncertain, and its ranking on the international table will remain as long as a comprehensive cricket coaching culture will be installed in the grass roots, and school cricket has been alive to develop a technically accurate and physically strong athlete, which is capable of playing all the conditions and cricketing conditions.
