MOSCOW: Russia has proposed a limited war to prevent air strikes in energy locations, but has rejected a call for a full ceasefire to support the United States, as it is ready for important talks with Ukraine and US officials in Saudi Arabia on Monday.
Moscow has rejected the US-US-UCR’s proposal for a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire, rather than keeping airstrikes on energy facilities.
Despite this offer, the two sides have launched airstrikes during the talks.
A Russian strike in the southern Ukrainian city of Zapurzia was killed at the end of Friday night, killing a family of three people, causing anger among Ukrainian officials.
US negotiators will hold a separate meeting with the Ukrainian and Russian delegation in Saudi Arabia on Monday, in which US envoy Keith Klog describes as a “shuttle diplomacy” between hotel rooms.
