Jeddah: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday met Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia with two parties to discuss various routes to military and security cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Shahbaz said in a post on Thursday, “We have had a very fruitful debate over ways to strengthen Saudi Arabia in trade, investment, energy and security.”
The meeting came when Premier landed in Saudi Arabia on a four -day official visit from March 19 to 22 on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral relations, increase economic cooperation, and promote investment between the two countries.
During a high -level meeting between the two sides, the Prime Minister and his Saudi counterpart considered issues of mutual interest and called for promoting military cooperation between Islamabad and Riyadh.
The two leaders expressed their satisfaction over the growing bilateral economic cooperation, and Prime Minister Shahbaz praised Saudi Arabia’s commitment to increase investment in important sectors in Pakistan.
“The joint vision for our sustainable friendship and prosperity is leading our bilateral relations to new heights and turning it into a mutual economic partnership,” the Prime Minister praised the Prince and Saudi Arabia in efforts to bring peace to the Middle East and Ukraine.
The incoming Prime Minister thanked the Prince for his country’s permanent support for Pakistan and said: “The joint vision for our sustainable friendship and prosperity is taking our bilateral relations to new heights and turning it into a mutual beneficial economic contribution.”
Meanwhile, MBS acknowledged the remarkable services of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia.
The two leaders further agreed to enhance the welfare measures of the Pakistani community in the kingdom and emphasized the need to strengthen the people’s contacts, cultural exchange and educational cooperation with the people.
Prime Minister Shahbaz’s visit to Saudi Arabia has come in response to the invitation of the Prince Prince, in which it is reported that the former will have the opportunity to spend a few days in Mecca and Medina and will also be the coastal city of Jeddah where he will meet King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
It should be noted that Premier Shahbaz, in October 2024, visited the Rajasthan to participate in the eighth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) under the patronage of Shah Salman.
This month, Islamabad and Riyadh considered several memories worth more than $ 2 billion, to promote bilateral trade and investment during a Saudi delegation’s visit to Islamabad, led by a Saudi Bonn Abdul -Fala minister.
In addition, Prime Minister Shahbaz also met with the two leaders with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Alfliya and Joint Task Force Head for Economic Placement, Mohammed Al -Tawwajri, to strengthen economic cooperation, attract Saudi investment, and accelerate the key sectors.
Highlighting the country’s strategic position and investment -friendly policies, endorsing the commitment to provide facilities to Saudi investors, the Prime Minister emphasized on the country’s extensive capacity in energy, infrastructure, agriculture and technology, and gave Saudi businesses special investment opportunities.
The two leaders discussed the increase in institutional cooperation to accelerate investment plans and ensure their smooth implementation, Saudi Minister of Saudi Arabia expressed strong interest in deepening Saudi Arabia’s economic relations with Pakistan.
The meeting also identified the two countries’ commitment to promote long -term, mutual economic relations.
