London: Algeria’s Olympic boxing champion Eman Khalif is targeting the second gold in Los Angeles at the center of a gender line in the Paris Games, and says he will not be scared by Donald Trump.
The US president signed an executive order last month, preventing transgender women from competing in the sports women category.
Trump had previously said that the 25 -year -old boy had changed, though not.
“I will give you a straightforward response – the US president has issued a decision on transgender policies in the United States,” he told UK ITV News.
“I’m not a transgender. I don’t worry about it, and it doesn’t scare me. This is my answer.”
Earlier this week, the Olympic Chiefs recommended that boxing be included in 2028 games in the LA after temporarily recognizing a new governing body.
The decision still needs to be sealed by a full session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Greece.
The caliph said, “Of course the second gold medal,” “in the United States, Los Angeles.”
He added: “This experience has taught me a lot. I am sure that if the old Emine works 50 percent of his abilities, today’s i -Eminent Caliph is even more encouraging and determined.
“I have learned a lot from this campaign against me, and what happened at the Paris Olympics was an eye -opening experience. I feel stronger than ever.”
Along with the victory of the Caliph in Paris, Taiwan’s Lin U -Tating, gave rise to a rally of gender qualification, which weighs high -level figures like Trump and Elon Musk.
She revealed that she was “deeply affected” with the “big media campaign” around her, and said her mother was almost going to the hospital nearly daily when her family fought the attacks.
After the organization, the Khalifa and Lin were disqualified from the International Boxing Association’s 2023 World Championships, the long -standing governing body of amateur boxing, saying they had failed in gender qualification tests.
The IOC has cut links with the IBA about financial, governance and moral concerns. The IBA is led by the Russian Omar Karim, associated with the Kremlin.
Last month, the IOC temporarily recognized global boxing as a body to monitor sports in future sports.
The caliph told ITV, “As we say in Algeria, those who have nothing to hide should have no fear.” “The truth became clear at the Paris Olympics – injustice was exposed and later, the Olympic Committee in Paris acknowledged this fact.”
He added: “To me, I see myself as a girl, just like another girl. I was born a girl, raised it as a girl, and has spent my entire life in the same way.
“I have participated in many tournaments, including the Tokyo Olympics and other major competitions as well as four world champions.
“All this happened before winning and earning the title. But once I started to win, campaigns against me started.”
The debate on transgender athletes and athletes with differences in sexual development (DSD) in the women’s game in the IOC presidential race that ended Thursday has been a central issue.
Three leading candidates – Young Antonio Samarch Jr., Sebastian and Christie Country – have talked about the need for “protection of the women’s category”.
The President of the World Athletics told AFP in an interview last year: “If we do not protect women’s games and we do not have clear and unclear policies to do so, we are at risk of losing women’s games.”
The Caliph said: “I hope the next president of the IOC will move forward with the help of real sports, is committed to the Olympic principles, and will maintain the values of fair sports.”
