WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump says he intends to talk to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin about the end of the war in Ukraine on Tuesday, adding that talks about “dividing some assets” between militant parties are already underway.
US officials expressed hopefulness on Sunday that Washington had signed a ceasefire in Ukraine Russia in weeks after Washington had proposed to stop the war in a three -year war, which was accepted by Kiev.
“I think we will talk about land … we will talk about power plants,” Trump said in Air Force One.
“I think we have a lot of debate a lot of us in both sides, Ukraine and Russia. We are already talking about it, distributing some assets.”
The European allies of Washington and Kiev are pressuring Moscow to keep them in the fight, but Putin has not given any clear answer – instead of making a list of a wire of the situation and raising “serious questions” on the proposal.
For the dispute, Trump’s envoy, Steve Watkov, who met Putin several hours ago, told CNN that he believed “both presidents are going to have a very good and positive conversation this week.”
Trump, adding, “I really expect it to be a contract in the coming weeks, maybe, and I believe it is so”.
On Saturday, Ukraine’s Wolodmeer Zelannsky accused the Kremlin of not wanting to end the war. He warned that Moscow wants to “improve its situation in the battlefield” before agreeing to a ceasefire.
Rubio, Laurov Talk
Earlier, Moscow had said that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov to discuss “solid aspects of understanding” at a US -Russian summit in Saudi Arabia last month.
The Riyadh gathering of February was the first high -level meeting between the United States and Russia since Moscow launched its invasion in February 2022.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said, “Sergey Lavrov and Marco Rubio agreed to be in touch.”
State Department spokesman Timi Bruce said on Saturday that the couple had discussed “next steps” about Ukraine, and “agreed to continue work to restore communication between the United States and Russia.”
After the Lauro-Robio call, Britain launched it hours after hosting a virtual summit about Ukraine, in which Prime Minister Kerry Starr accused Putin of “dragging his feet” on the ceasefire.
The star said, “Yes, but not so good from Russia,” the star said, “Once upon a time and for everyone, the brutal attacks on Ukraine” were stopped.
On Sunday, Kiev said Moscow launched 90 Iranian -made Shahid drones in nine Ukrainian areas.
‘Force Putin’ for peace
In response to the ceasefire earlier this week, Putin said the move would primarily benefit Ukraine, as Russian forces were “moving forward” in many areas. They raised “serious questions” on the move.
The proposal came when Russia – which is cut off from southern and eastern Ukraine – has its pace in some areas of the front.
It has advanced the Ukrainian forces from parts of the region, where Qi hopes to keep the Russian territory as a potential bargain in any future talks.
Putin said he wants to discuss Moscow’s concerns with Trump in a phone call.
At the end of Sunday, Zillski said he had spoken to Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney.
“The Prime Minister made the right points about that we need to increase pressure on Moscow,” he said.
“The shadowy fleet, the banking sector. We must impose all sanctions on everything that provides Russia for its war. Only then can we force Putin to be a fair and lasting peace.”
Before going to London to meet with British Prime Minister Kerry Starr, Carney is scheduled to be held in France on Monday to discuss with French President Emmanuel Macron.
This year, Canada is chaired by G7 countries.
On Sunday, Zillski announced Andrew Gantev by Army Forces Chief of General Staff, Anatoli Bargelich, Army Forces. Gnatov has been entrusted with increasing performance in the Armed Forces.
