Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has indicated the willingness to discuss US -backed ceasefire in Ukraine, but has raised serious concerns about its implementation and its potential impact on its conflict.
Putin made his first comments on the project, which Ukraine spoke to the United States on Tuesday that he was “” for “the proposed ceasefire, but that” there are nuances here “and they had” serious questions “how it would work.
Ukrainian President Wolodmeer Zelannsky condemned Putin’s comments as “extreme manipulation”, who, in his night address, suggested that Putin was really “preparing to refuse”, but “US President Donald Trump wants to continue the war directly.”
The United States has called on Russia to agree with a ceasefire without any conditions, but Putin raised many objections, “I think we need to talk to our US colleagues … maybe call with President Trump and discuss it with it.”
Putin said the ceasefire is “right idea”, but Ukraine will benefit when its troops are in shock while Russia is rapidly occupying the area. He also raised the question of how the ceasefire would be monitored with a frontline measuring thousands of kilometers.
Trump said Putin’s statement was “hopeful” but “not complete”.
Trump said, “Many details of the final agreement have been discussed in fact. Now we will see if Russia is there or not, if not, it will be a very disappointing moment for the world.”
“I would like to meet him or talk to him. But we have to end it fast.”
After visiting the military headquarters in the region on Wednesday, the Russian president praised the progress of his troops against Ukraine, saying he was “advanced in all fields of the frontline”.
“Based on how the land situation develops, we will agree on the next steps to end the conflict and reach acceptable agreements for all,” he said.
When Trump emphasized the rapid end of the conflict for more than three years, his envoy to Steve Watkf arrived in Moscow on Thursday to discuss the project.
According to Russian news agencies, Yuri Ishakov, a senior Kremlin assistant, said that when the president “gives signals”, Vitcut will meet Putin.
Russia has been moving on the battlefield for more than a year, and has claimed to run Ukraine forces from the town of Sidza in Russia on Thursday.
Despite the benefit of Moscow’s battlefield, Trump has expressed hope that his team can protect the ceasefire.
‘Long -term peace’
Putin said Thursday: “We agree with the proposals to eliminate the enemies, but on the basis that ending will lead to long -term peace and remove the root causes of the crisis.”
Russia has already refused to accept foreign peace troops in Ukraine as part of a ceasefire or long -term security guarantee for Kiev.
It may be against the request that Ukraine has created European allies to deploy military “troops” in their territory when once the conflict ends, the conflict ends to prevent Russia from future attacks.
“It is unacceptable to us that other state military units are deployed in Ukraine under any flag,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said in a briefing.
“Whether it be a foreign troops or a military base … all of this will mean the involvement of these countries in a direct armed conflict with our country.”
The war for the car
Meanwhile, Russia claimed rapid progress in the Kirtan area-where Kiev attacked across the border last August and has been its territory since then.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it had “liberated” Sidza, along with two other settlements in the border region.
Prior to the fighting, the house of about 5,000 5,000 people, Sidzha, Kiev was the largest settlement after launching his trauma attack in Russia.
The area was one of the Kiev’s bargaining chips to replace the land with Russia, who occupied fifth of Ukraine since taking Crimea in 2014, and in February 2022, it attacked its full scale.
According to military bloggers, Ukraine is now in danger of losing its grip on the border region after seeding dozens of square kilometers (miles) last week.
In Ukraine, the military administration of the Somami region said on Facebook on Thursday that it had ordered the withdrawal of eight villages near the border with Kraka due to “promoting operational situation in the region” and “permanent shelling by Russia”.
Moscow’s rapid progress in the region came after the United States stopped intelligence sharing and security support for Ukraine, although analysts and officials have warned against making direct links.
Washington said it has resumed its support for Kiev before talks with Moscow.
