“Three and a half years ago, A [Daesh] Trump said during a speech at a joint Congress meeting, which was the longest time by any president, Trump said that the terrorists killed 13 US service members and countless others in the Abbey Gate bombing.
The attack marked the tragic end of America’s longest war in Afghanistan, claiming the lives of 13 US service members and about 170 Afghans who were trying to escape from Kabul after Taliban occupation.
Trump, in his speech, was the longest by any president, an hour and 49 minutes, revealed: “Tonight, I am happy to declare that we have just captured the high terrorist responsible for the atrocities. And they are still going here to face the sharp sword of American justice.”
After a short break and clapping, he thanked the Government of Pakistan for helping to catch the “monster” and added that it was a “huge day for the affected families.”
“It was a very important day for the 13 families, whom I really knew very well, whose children were killed. A terrible day,” Trump, who became the 47th president in January, said.
The Prime Minister has pledged to continue with us
In response, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked US President Trump for recognizing and praising Pakistan’s role and support in counter -terrorism efforts in Afghanistan.
As famous, he said, Pakistan has always played an important role in counter -terrorism efforts aimed at refusing terrorists and militant groups safe from working against another country.
“We are firmly committed to our commitment and terrorism, in all its forms and insults,” he said.
In this endeavor, the Prime Minister mentioned that Pakistan has made great sacrifices, including the lives of more than 80,000 brave soldiers and citizens.
Prime Minister Shahbaz said, “However, the commitment of our leadership and our people is inconsistent, so that the threat of terrorism from our country can be eliminated.”
The Prime Minister further said that Pakistan will continue to close a close partnership with the United States in achieving regional peace and stability.
Arrest with CIA assistance
A news agency reports that Pakistan has arrested the Daesh commander on the basis of intelligence provided by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
According to the news agency, Mohammad Sharifullah Daesh is among the leaders who suspect that the attack is suspected to be planning. He is also known as Jafar.
He was allegedly arrested by Pakistani intelligence agencies, and is now being shifted to the United States. The agency added that the militants will be taken to the United States on Wednesday.
An American official told the news agency that Sharifullah was the mastermind behind the August 26 attack. The report also claims that after taking office, President Trump directed CIA Director John Rutt Cliff to prefer the arrest of those responsible for the Abbey Gate bombing.
It has been alleged that the writ cliff raised the case with senior Pakistani officials just one day after taking office, and later discussed with a senior Pakistani security official at the Munich Security Conference in February.
However, when the news agency reached the Pakistani embassy in Washington, officials refused to comment.
‘Extremely embarrassing moment’
Trump turned his guns to Biden, and mentioned that the attack took place during the “destructive and incompetent” withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Noting that he was not criticizing the evacuation, but his procedure was performed. “Perhaps the most shameful moment of the history of our country […] This kind of incompetence was shown. “
In 2023, the then President Biden’s administration blamed the Trump administration for withdrawing deadly and chaos, arguing that the government sitting in Trump’s decisions has been “strictly banned”.
He acknowledged that the withdrawal of Americans and allies from Afghanistan should have begun first, but the delay was declared the Afghan government and the military, as well as reviews of the US military and the intelligence community.
