KARACHI: Karachi Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive plan with details of parking locations and road closures for passengers, hosting the first match of the first match of the most expected ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The match between Pakistan and New Zealand indicates the start of the first ICC event after the 1996 One -Day Cricket World Cup, hosted by the country.
The eight teams tournament, including 15 matches, will move from February 19 to March 9, in Pakistan and Dubai-Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi-three places.
Eight teams are divided into two groups. Group A has features of Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, South Africa, England and Australia.
The host Pakistan will face New Zealand on February 19 in the curtain rise in Karachi, while the Blockbuster clash between the Arc Revolution Pakistan and India is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.
According to the Deputy Inspector General of Traffic, Sir Shah Suleiman will remain open for traffic during the road matches.
Special parking arrangements have been made for cricket fans, who will be able to build their vehicles at the National Coaching Center, Expo Center and China Ground.
Those coming from the car will be directed in these designated parking areas by moving down the flyover.
Heavy traffic will be allowed from Sohrab Goth to Napa, from Liaikotabad No. 10 to Hassan Square, and from PP Chorangi to University Road.
However, from Karsaz to Stadium, Thousand -year -old New Town, and Hassan Square, the stadium signals will be closed for heavy vehicles.
Traffic excavation has urged spectators not to build their cars or motorcycles on roads or service lanes, and advise them to use only designated parking areas.
Meanwhile, special passes will be allowed to park VIPS and vehicles inside the stadium.
For admission, only the main door and door number 4, 5, 6, 12, 13, and 14 will be accessible to the public. VIP vehicles and people who can enter through stickers or pass Gate 8. Additionally, vehicles equipped with CNG cylinders will not be allowed in the stadium premises.
Three hours before the start of the match, the doors of the stadium will open, while roads around the stadium will be open for normal traffic.
