ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Lawyers Convention has strongly demanded the cancellation of the Judicial Commission meeting on February 10 and transferring judges to the Islamabad High Court. The convention also announced plans to protest the city Distor on February 10.

Zulfar Ali Abbasi’s lawyer asked the lawyers’ community to fight for the 26th constitutional amendment. On this occasion, a statement from PTI leader Assad Qaiser was read, demanding the termination of the 26th Amendment. Assad Qaiser said his party did not vote against the amendment. A maximum of 28 to 30 petitions are pending against the 26th constitutional amendment and a complete Supreme Court court should hear them.
Addressing the convention, Vice Chairman Balochistan Bar Council Raheb Balidi said that today the courts are being boycotted not only in the federal capital but also in the whole country including Balochistan. He said that if the lawyers ignore the transfer of Islamabad judges from outside and remain silent, the judges of the Islamabad High Court will be shifted from here. They are playing the judiciary from other provinces with the independence of the judiciary. He said that all the lawyers would protest before the Supreme Court on February 10 and demanded the abolition of the 26th Amendment, saying that no decision would be acceptable till then.
Addressing the lawyers’ convention, Raja Elim Abbasi, a member of the Islamabad Bar Council, said that the puppets were being appointed as a judge to get the election decision. He said he supported Federal Minister for Law Minister Nazar Tarar but would not allow him to mortgage bars and take the law hostage. “We are in favor of amending the constitution and the laws, but the law cannot be amended on the basis of adultery,” he said. Abbasi said he believes the transfer of judges is a malicious move. He said that the constitution should prevail in relation to the appointment of the Chief Justice and he would not allow the Chief Justice of the government to be imposed. He also demanded the cancellation of the Judicial Commission meeting.
Vice Chairman Islamabad Bar Naseer Ahmad Kayani said that the lawyers’ community stands with the constitution and that the only document is the highest. He called on all the lawyers to approach the Constitution Avenue on February 10 to protest.
