Rawalpindi: At least 30 terrorists were killed during three different counter -terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the army’s media wing said on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted intelligence -based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat district.
The statement said that “after the soldiers effectively engaged the terrorists at their location, eighteen kharijites were sent to hell, while six Khawarij was injured.”
In another operation in the Kirk district of the province, security forces “successfully neutralized eight terrorists.”
In the third encounter in the general area of Bagh district of Khyber, security forces shot and killed four terrorists, including rebel Aziz -ur -Rehman alias Qari Ismail and sincere, while two terrorists were injured.
The ISPR said, “Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the deceased Khawarij, which was active in the killing of innocent civilians along with several terrorist operations against security forces in the area.”
Army media wing added that cleanliness operations are being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as “Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the curse of terrorism from the country” –

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif praised the bravery of security forces for killing 30 terrorists in three different successful operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In his separate statements, he praised security forces for successful operations in the districts of Lakki Marwat, Kirk and Khyber.
President Zardari termed the killing of thirty terrorists as an important achievement, reiterating that security forces’ operations would continue till the complete elimination of terrorism.
He said that it was good that Pakistan’s security forces were conducting a successful operation to end terrorism.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz reiterated the nation’s irreversible support for the security forces and emphasized that Pakistan is fully committed to eliminating all kinds of terrorism.
These operations are part of a permanent effort because since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan in 2021, violent attacks have increased in the country, especially in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan border provinces.
According to the “CRSS annual security report 2024” released by the Center for Security and Strategic Studies, the year 2024 proved to be the deadliest for Pakistan’s civil and military security forces in a decade, with at least 685 casualties and 444. Terrorist attacks occurred.
