BHIMBER: Condemning India’s ongoing atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday assured Pakistan of steadfast support for Kashmir and its people till they achieve their right to self-determination. He reiterated his commitment.
Addressing the foundation day ceremony of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister said that until the Kashmiri people get their right to self-determination as per UN resolutions, we will continue our political, moral and diplomatic support. He condemned the ongoing atrocities of India in the illegally occupied territory and reiterated that the sacrifices of Kashmiris will not go in vain. The Prime Minister further said that Army Chief General Asim Munir is committed to support our Kashmiri brothers.
Referring to the establishment of Danish School in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, he said that this project was the brainchild of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and its aim was initially to provide quality education to gifted and intelligent children of the less developed areas of Punjab. “Thousands of students are now serving in various key sectors after completing their education from Danish schools,” he added. The Prime Minister further said that gifted orphans and poor children were admitted in Danish schools, which will bring an educational revolution in the country.
Shahbaz also said that students get free books, food and boarding facilities. Similarly, he said that the school buildings will be separate for girls and boys.
Announcing the establishment of more Danish schools soon in Neelum and other areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister said that more such educational facilities would also be opened in the merged districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Prime Minister said that all the funds for the schools would be paid by the federal government and directed the authorities concerned to make the schools operational within one year.
Prime Minister Shehbaz pointed out that the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), who are fighting for their freedom, would be happy to see their brothers getting such high quality education facilities.
The Prime Minister further said that the ministers of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan are taking steps to provide the best possible facilities in the fields of higher education and health.
He further said that due to the wise measures of the present government, the rate of inflation and consequently the policy rate has come down significantly, while there has been a significant increase in domestic exports and foreign remittances.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the World Bank has also allocated 20 billion US dollars for various projects in Pakistan in its 10-year plan.
“We have saved the country from falling into default by addressing key economic challenges,” he said, adding that the government is committed to successfully completing the program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). .
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the country cannot see development and prosperity until the complete end of terrorism.
“Pakistan’s armed forces and security forces have made great sacrifices in the war against terrorism which should be recognised,” he said.
He also expressed the belief that those plotting against the country would fail.
